Such a great charity. How many of you know soldiers? It sure gets lonely for many of them overseas, especially those without family or friends who write to them. Through this charity we are able to write letters and send care packages to the brave men and women in harms way. What a great idea!

AnySoldier.com is TOPS!! One of the greatest ways to show your support of our troops - select a group from the database and start sending your letters and packages. It's my favorite organization, and so professionally organized. These guys are real pros at getting you connected with any size, any branch of the military, any state !

Have received countless emails and notes of thanks from the military men and women I've sent packages to. Even if I never got a note or email - they appreciate everything so much.

Can't improve on perfect! But I would like to see them receiving more support and contributions to keep them going.

I'm a supporter over 6 years now. Any Soldier is easy to understand and to use. If I have a question - I get answer and help " in the next minute". Very easy and sometimes witty is in detail is listed about the rules " what to send" How to send" , Where to send... And what is not to send. The way how it's explain make really sense in the simple words without that anybody can feel offended. It's not a bitter dry site - the humor and love is always to read and feel.
It allows to send packages once or more times, also only to send letters of support.
. Any Soldier is like a friendly big family that welcome new people with open arms. Supporters can share ideas and help eachother-, the detail informations are just perfect, like when the APO fopr the unit close, the information emails a supporter get " to not send anything anymore" cause the contact did not response to the Any soldier page. Also that AnySoldier send reminder to the heros. Anysoldier help in so many ways.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

To many ways. When I have a question I get pretty fast answer. When I need new ideas - I get ideas what I could send. When Ihave a problem , I get help. AnySoldier.com is like a big family with all the good and bad family stuff. A lot of fun and always with a ton of respect !!!

I would open the chatroom on the Anysoldier website again - maybe in a diffrent form. Cause that was the reason why I used Anysoldier first and stayed there. I had a question and found help in the chatroom. And I saw it often that " newbies" came in and asked for help and we could help them. Just my wish.

More respect and I found really new friends, it helps me to get new ideas what to send in packages and there is always an " open ear and heart" . People who would not really come together in real life , doesnt matter if rich or poor, come together on AnySoldier.com and help eachother.

I know I'm not alone doing this and when I need help I get it in the next minute! It's a big family . I learned a lot . Even when it's not easy sometimes it is really like being in a big family

AnySoldier.com allows you to "meet" men and women in the US armed services who will distribute care packages, cards and letters that you send to them to other service members who don't often get mail from back home. If you want to honor the extraordinary service of these brave men and women, then consider logging on,, downloading an name and address and sending a package. Each person gives you a list of the men and women under their command and usually a list of items most needed or wanted. Its easy to do and when you see their acknowledgement and response on the website, you'll understand how much you've affected them.

Its a great thing to do with your kids, too, to teach them about the importance of service - the soldiers' service to our country and your small contribution to serving them. My kids and their friends love writing cards and letters for any holiday (Halloween, Christmas, etc.) to the soldiers and marines. They also join me in shopping for them. They love to pick out the "goodies" that go into the care package.

I've used this site for three years and I highly recommend this site to my friends.

by receiving emails and photos back from the service members who've distributed the care packages, cards and letters that we've sent. In addition, I've run clothing drives at our local elementary and pre-schools in which we collected gently-used winter coats and sweaters for children in Afghanistan. The service members I've contacted through AnySoldier.com have given them out to school children in Afghanistan.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

make it so well known that EVERY family in America would send one care package, card or letter once a year!

What one change could this group make that would improve your volunteer experience?

I wouldn't make a change. They seem to have figured out all the bugs that might "come up".

Did your volunteer experience have an effect on you? (teaching you a new skill, or introducing new friends, etc.)

I met new friends at the post office when they found out what I was doing because they too send packages to troops. They gave me little "hints" for the post office.

How did this volunteer experience make you feel?

Like a better person.

This site gives people like me (with no friends or family deployed) a chance to help and support a soldier overseas. It makes me feel like I can give back to them a little bit for all of what the these soldiers do for me.

I have been supporting deployed soldiers through AnySoldier.com since Dec. 2006. By support, I mean, letters and care packages. I decide what to send by what the soldier posts approximately every fifty days. I have sent MANY letters and when I can afford to send a package, I have sent, snacks, socks, magazines, national newspapers, pens, notepaper, and items too numerous to mention....I simply try to send what the soldier has asked for.
I never expect an answer to my letters and support (the soldiers are too busy staying alive in an often hostile environment!). If I do hear from them, I am on cloud nine!!! :-) I drop all other mail to read their letter or email!!!
I have been fortunate to have met five members of the military that I have supported....a real honor!!! One Army soldier was like my own child...he called me mom and I became very close to him. My husband has been supportive of me and my soldier "adoptions"and has even driven me to meet some of them.
I would recommend this nonprofit to anyone...it is NOT a dating service, it is NOT a pen pal service (though often soldiers WILL write back and you can choose soldiers that request pen pals if you want). This is not a political site. This is about support for our individual military members, no matter what your views of the war....I try to figure out ways to put a smile on their faces, because I know that they are often in some tense situations.

I would definitely rate AnySoldier, Inc. with FIVE STARS.....it is simply one of the best things I have ever done in my life.

The Great!

meeting soldiers that I have supported. They have expressed gratitude for my support. I know that my support meant something to them. The letters of gratitude from many others, I have kept all these years....they still bring a smile to my face. I KNOW that what little I have done has made a difference.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

simply advertise more so that more people would know about this wonderful organization!

AnySolider.com has provided me with a wonderful avenue to show support to the troops who sacrifice every day for our freedom! I first became aware of the organization when my daughter's fiance was deployed to Afghanistan (he's still there). He has a lot of support from home and I wanted to offer something to show my appreciation to others who might not have the same support. Hello....AnySoldier!!! The site is so easy to follow, extremely professional and just plain great!

I've done a lot of charity work, but none has fulfilled me like 'Anysoldier.com'. These men are on the front lines, seeing their friends killed or injured; even committing suicide. They need to know that we have not forgotten them. This website is extremely organized and informative; it contains all the information you need to donate to this cause. I have made lasting friends through this program. They are so appreciative of anything and everything I send. I hope my letters have brought them some sunshine.

Any Soldier is a wonderful organization that allows people to show their appreciation for our deployed military personnel. The website is easy to use and offers helpful tips for sending support to the troops. I have supported many through the organization and have made some lifelong friends. Any Soldier is one of the best Troop Support Organizations out there. A big "Thank you" to them for caring about our Armed Forces!!!
