I got my Trinity...18 month old filly...from AC4H in March 2011. She's a beautiful, smart and sweet girl and coming along wonderfully in training. I have no complaints with AC4H. They helped me through the process, recommended transports, put me in touch with a quarintine facility and she arrived with all the paperwork (coggins and health report).

My only wish is that there be some way I can find out more about her breeding, as she looks to be of very good confirmation.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I have nothing to compare it to...but no complaints.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

As I stated...I do wish there were a way I could find out more about Trinity's background.

I began donating to help "save horses" as they claimed these horses were heading for slaughter by Friday at 4pm every week. After a while, I began to see "deadline extended" and "horses held over another week" more often. It took months, but I finally realized that they were not "saving horses" as they claimed, they are simply SELLING HORSES. They give evaluations on horses training and health that are grossly inaccurate to the point of fraud and they use the threat of slaughter to emotionally blackmail donors into spending more than they can afford. Unfortunately, they used to funnel these horses that were paid for with donor money to another organization...Voices for Horses. They then turned more than 25 of them over to the Humane Society in Wyandot County Ohio where they were put to sleep.
Just MY experience, not second hand information.

AC$H as it SHOULD be referred to is a HORRIBLE excuse for a rescue. Christy Sheidy has NO idea what she's doing. She doesn't know the 1st thing about horses. Totally misrepresents the horses that go thru her "rescue"....many are MUCH older than she puts in their description, are dangerous when she claims they're "dead broke, kid broke". Has adopted out many an ill or VERY lame horse that in HER words were "100 percent sound and healthy". Horses left in her care for any amount of time end up finally arriving at their new adopted homes emaciated and sick, some have even had to be destroyed by their new adopted owners because they were so sick or lame. Dont believe me? Contact me and I can provide proof. I've dealt with her 1st hand. I also suspect she is drugging horses for her "evaluation videos" as mare I adopted was described as "quiet" and beginner safe and when i got her home 2 wks later she was aggressive and attacked me. This woman cannot be trusted and is under investigation as we speak.

The storys that are being told are 100% true. I have 2 of the horses. She has lied, taken money for horses and shipped more than a 100 to slaughter. She dumped 28 horses at Toledo Humane Society. Took the funds and dumped them. The property was sold in a Toledo Sheriff sale. You may call and verify yourself. She is a con- artist that is taking thousands and thousands from people. I also was a victim but I refused to leave the property with my hauler and waited for 4hrs for her to come and give me the money back. Somebody has to do something to stop her. Her interest is not in horses but all a scam. Everything being said is 100% true. And if I am called to court I will be the voice for the missing horses...

This rescue does great things! The previous reviewer has completely mistated and lied about the organization. My family adopted 2 horses and so have 2 of my friends.
The costs to adopt are listed on the website www.ac4h.com and the cost for a coggins is not 110, It is $55 for a coggins and
transport. $30 for the coggins and $25 transport.

To slander this rescue and say they send horses to slaughter is despicable! The horses at the rescue get the best of care ALWAYS!

This company should be called Another Chance 4 Horror, because that is exactly what they are to the horses. None of the horses are properly cared for. They receive no medical treatments and are actually in worse shape, than when they arrive in less than three weeks. So beware of who you are giving your money too. This company is terrible. They have done many unethical Dealings to well over 1000's of people. They are being investigation and I pray they go down in flames soon. They have strangles in their barns and refuse to use any cleaner or disinfectant, nor do they tell anyone that the horses have been exposed to it. Then they send the horses over state lines. Be prepared to pay lots of vet bills.
Here are some things to look for when dealing with this bunch of crooks.
Misplacing horses
Unable to produce horses despite being paid for
Knowing the horses are sick and the horses receive no medical care
Charging $50.00 for transport when the Broker does not charge for transport
Expecting $110.00 for health/coggins when it only costs $70.00
Horses double-bailed (paid for several times by different individuals)
Horses when transported many have expired before arriving at new owners home due to lack of medical care
Money given to this rescue, do not go to the horses
Horses sent to slaughter even when paid for!

Then AC4H could not show they had the pony in thier possession. They had double bailed the pony and decided to send it to slaughter rather than give it a good home. She also did not refund any of the supporters money.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Remove their 501(c)3 status, because they are working outside of the law and they should be closed down never allowed to have animals again. It is very sad for the horses, because they are the ones suffering here.
