The missions I have logged as a pilot with Angel Flight West and the time I have spent with the Directors and with other pilots of this fine organization have allowed an ongoing fulfilling of the humanitarian goals I established when I first became a physician. This organization provides so many people the needed transportation to allow for care or other humanitarian needs...each flight is unique in the attentions provided to the patients, the children, those with real suffering, and all those who have the compelling need to reach a destination. The children who have suffered burns, the children with deafness or with cancer, the people distressed by their great challenges of life have all benefitted from the work of this great organization, but as a pilot, I have also been inspired by the opportunity to provide meaningful humanitarian assistance, always without charge, always with the satisfaction that these good people have been helped with their great challenges in life.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the flying of missions, meetings with the Boards, and working with the professionals who staff the Santa Monica headquarters.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
continue working to make this the predominant charitable transportation organization in the United States
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the professionalism of the staff and the fulfillment of flying missions
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
the leaders and the staff who provide the organizational elements of arranging missions
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
expand the number of flights provided to those with humanitarian need
Ways to make it better...
It could not be better than is currently experienced.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
The continuing need for donations to allow the flights to continue.
One thing I'd also say is that...
This is a quality humanitarian organization providing services to thousands of people with profound needs.
