In the 1960's, I lived in Latin America for 5 years. During my stay, I met, on more than one occasion, American women with children who were desperate to be counseled on how to move through this point in their lives. To be able to reach out and find such a resource is reassuring. To be helped by it, is empowering.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing them receive top recognition by the Dept of Justice and Eric Holder, Attorney General during Americans Overseas Month.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

work to "get the word out" about their mission and volunteer opportunities.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

rejoicing with them in receiving top recognition by the Dept of Justice and Atty General Eric Holder during Americans Overseas Week.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

dedicated to their mission of providing resources for American Women living verseas in domestic violence crises.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

grow unfettered!

Ways to make it better...

life were perfect and they had all the resources they could possibly need. And we all know that life isn't perfect; that this is as good as it gets!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

getting the word out from recruiting and training crisis line volunteers to advertising its resources overseas.

One thing I'd also say is that...

this group deserves our support. It provides a much needed resource for unseen and unheard American women living abroad in domestic violence situations.

This is a unique, one of a kind organization. The amount of help they are able to offer is truly a lifeline for American women abused overseas.

The American Domestic Violence Crisis Line is representative of what outstanding nonprofits can achieve. They have opened my eyes to the far reaches of abuse and what can be done about it through their outreach services. I will be a lifetime donor.

This organization opened my eyes to the demographics of those who are abused and trapped in a foreign country and how difficult it is to obtain assistance in these countries.

The Great!

Getting to see how often this organization is able to assist in bringing the women and their children back to the states where they feel safe.
