I started my postdoctoral studies at Yale 2 years ago thanks to the American-Italian Cancer Foundation. Moving to the US has been very helpful to make progress with my research. I want to also mention that, besides funding cancer research, AICF is also providing no-cost breast cancer screening for people that do not have possibility to get one otherwise. I feel lucky and honored to be an AICF Fellow!

The American-Italian Cancer Foundation is an outstanding organization in promoting cancer research. Because of the generous support of the American-Italian Cancer Foundation I was able to make important findings on pathways that can instigate the genome rearrangements that drive cancer development.
I have found the staff to be professional, supportive, and truly dedicated to the cause of advancing scientific knowledge in cancer biology.
Thank American-Italian Cancer Foundation to make possible training of young scientist in the cancer research field.

My experience with AICF is terrific. Thanks to AICF fellowship I've the possibility to make a Postdoctoral experience in US and carry on my project. During the annual meeting I had the opportunity to meet the other fellows and I realized that AICF select important and challenging projects .During my first year I've been supported by executive director and by all the AICF staff. In the scientific board there are outstanding scientists in cancer research field that work in the best institutes in US and Italy.

I started my post doc 2 years ago at MSKCC in New york city. I'm an italian citizen an as so working in the USA gave me the opportunity to apply for an AICF fellowship. I obtained the first one for a year and I was also able to renew it for the second year. I must say that having been awarded for 2 years with a fellowship as I moved to a new lab was an extremely helpful support for me to start up my projects, learn new techniques, initiate collaborations and getting exciting results for the genome stability field. The staff at the AICF has also be very much available and I must say tolerant in accommodating everyone needs and issues. Furthermore, I found exceptional the opportunity of been invited to Benefit Dinner & Auctions where I got meet fundraisers both american and Italian and all the AICF staff and I got to understand about a part of the work organized around the association to raise money to devolve to both Post docs fellowships, cancer research and the very admirable initiative of no-cost breast cancer screening for people that do not have access to such tool . Said so, I wish there was an American X cancer foundation for every country (X) that invests in cancer research to give the opportunity to researchers like me to ..... carry on on what we dedicated our life to!!!! I feel lucky and privileged to have been an AICF Fellow!

I had a great experience with AICF. They finance young Italian investigators working on the most promising and cutting-edge cancer research projects across the US. They also have a great breast cancer screening program to facilitate diagnosis and treatment of this type of cancer in underserved communities in NYC. The executive director is a highly energetic, personable and capable woman and so is the rest of their staff. I wish them all the best in accomplishing their goals and continuing to grow.

I have had a terrific experience with this foundation. The executive director is easily reachable for any need of information or help, as well as her colleagues. Professionally they have been unbiased in judging research for merit and their funding to research is assigned on a purely meritocratic manner. I wish that this association would grow more and more in the future years as I really appreciated their professional attitude.

The American-Italian Cancer Foundation plays an outstanding role in promoting cancer research and education. Their post-doctoral fellowship program allows young investigators to be trained in world-class institutions, acquiring the expertise and the skills necessary to further our understanding of cancer. I had the privilege to receive a post-doctoral fellowship. The AICF generous support allowed me to develop my ideas and carry out my research plans at Princeton University, with independence and confidence. I feel that my work will have an impact, and I am certain that the research carried out by the many AICF fellows will make a major difference.

Great fellowship agency. They fund young investigators with a rigorous and meritocratic review process, and have fellows involved in the most important cancer projects across the US. Highly recommended for young scientists coming to the US from Italy. People are very nice and they have many social gatherings that make the overall felling "family-like"
