Alpine has had an extraordinary impact on our son's life, and that of our family's. SInce he began receiving outreach services in 2010, and has attend the school full time since last year, we have watched him grow tremendously. It's been a broad impact on his overall engagement, conduct, and speech. We can't thank Alpine enough. I can't imagine a more caring and dedicated group of professionals.

My son was diagnosed with autism in February 2010. We started working with Alpine Outreach in July 2010 and my son has improved tremendously. When he started with Alpine, he had severe self-injurious behaviors (which were greatly decreased in the first few months of his therapy program), had very little speech, didn't make eye contact and had a very difficulty time attending and focusing. Today, he's in a partial mainstream kindergarten and extremely talkative. The therapy Alpine provide to my son has been lifechanging.

We contacted Alpine Learning Group early last year after our son was diagnosed with Autism. He started working with the Outreach program in July 2010. A little over a year later, a child that could barely speak is not only speaking he's hard to keep quiet. And we wouldn't have it any other way. It's because of the hard work of the therapists, case manager and Outreach director that our son has made such HUGE progress.
We can never thank Alpine enough for helping us!

My son has been part of the Alpine Outreach program of over a year now. We are thrilled with them and the results they have given my son Connor. The team is extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with. I get along with the entire group and my son loves and connects with them. They are truly wonderful for this area and the Autism community!

Hi,
My son Connor Graffanino has been receiving ABA therapy for approx. 20 hours a week from Alpine Learning Group since May 2011. He was diagnosed Autistic in April 2011 at 21 months old. Connor has progressed so much from receiving therapy from them. The therapists go to the daycare center that he is at, and work with him 2 times a day. They work in the class with him and one on one sessions. They are very professional and knowledgeable about kids with this disability. Every Thursday they have clinic at the daycare to discuss future goals, and achievements. My son loves all 3 therapists that see him- Erica, Beth and Karen. He is talking and communicating much more since this began. Just this week, Erica said he has over 100 words in his vocabulary! He is learning to interact and be more social with others. They have done wonders for him and my family! I love that he is being treated from Alpine, and would recommend them to anyone!

Alpine is such a wonderful program! The leadership and staff are dedicated to improving the lives of the children and families they serve. We are extremely grateful for everything they have done for Melanie and our family. She has made remarkable progress under their care and we are confident that she will continue to grow and lead a meaningful adult life.

My 4 year old son started Alpine Learning Group a little over a year ago and is making some remarkable strides in his learning. We are beginning to see some meaningful language emerge, which is remarkable to us since early on a few professionals (not associated with Alpine) told my husband and I that he may never speak at all! Alpine is changing not only our sons life but our daughters as well. She is 11 years old and has become a peer mentor at Alpine. In addition to mentoring, my daughter has formed a true friendship with the remarkable young lady she began mentoring last year. They see each other outside of school, text, shop, etc. just as she does with her other friends. This special relationship has shaped who my daughter has become with all of her friends. She has learned compassion, empathy and patience which have all made her a better person and friend. She is also running programs with her little brother during the home consultation program, where our sons teacher comes to our home biweekly and works on behaviors and skills we need help with. This teacher is amazingly patient and skilled at involving my daughter in my sons learning and making her feel as crucial as she truly is! In addition, through the Outreach department at Alpine we have teachers come to our home for ten hours a week to work with our son. These women are true professionals with the biggest hearts I've ever had the pleasure to know. It's incredible how the entire staff at Alpine takes these threads of my sons program and weave them into the most comprehensive learning program with the most amazing results! My son is growing in leaps and bounds because he is a student at Alpine and because the staff at Alpine educate the whole family on how best to help our son in every setting, with every skill and it's all done with respect and love. A parent couldn't ask for anything more!

My son started Alpine just two days after his third birthday, it was a dream come true! For a family with an Autistic child, being invited to attend Alpine is like winning the lottery. Alpine addresses the whole child, as well as the family. Our son's teacher makes a weekly home visit to set up programs and goals to improve our son's behavior and skill set as well as improve the quality of life for our whole family. The entire staff as a group are the warmest, most loving people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. When I drop off my precious boy at Alpine every morning, I know he will not just receive the therapeutic education that is vital for his progress but he is cared for and loved by wonderful people! When I pick him up at the end of the day, I see an enormous smile on an exhausted face...What more could a Mother ask for? In the two short months our son has been a student there, he has learned how to ride a tricycle, use a computer mouse and eat pizza with his hands to name only a few of his many new skills. I know that whatever potential is inside of my son will be realized as a result of being a part of the Alpine community.

There is no doubt in my mind Alpine Learning Group has staved off Autism in my son. When he was just 1.5 years old, my son was diagnosed. At that time, he wasn't making eye contact, smiling (without being tickled), speaking, responding to any language of any kind, and was beginning repetitive and isolating behavior. Alpine is no doubt the world's leading authority in the only scientifically proven method of autism treatment - ABA. Their staff is dedicated to the field. They are the smartest, most caring, most professional people I have ever met. I truly believe they are one of God's gifts to me. I credit them with saving my son. In less than one year, all of the early signs disappeared. There are a few signs that he may be different - he likes numbers and he is not able to speak as well as other children, - but these symptoms does not make him stand out. In face, he approaches and enjoys the company of other children. People do not believe me when I tell them about his diagnosis. I hardly believe it myself , and that is because of Alpine.

In the five years since our son was born our family has experienced two life changing moments. The first was when we found out he had autism. The second was when he was accepted into Alpine Learning Group. Our son has blossomed thanks to the intensive, individualized instruction he has received at this school. The instructors and staff are tremendous, going above and beyond every day to help each learner reach their true potential. Alpine Learning Group will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

I turned to the Alpine Learning Group when my daughter was diagnosed PDD-NOS. I didn't even understand yet what it meant to be "on the spectrum" but I was told that Alpine could provide some therapy that would bridge the gaps that public school might not. Before even knowing if I was eligible, or if I could afford to pay, the director of the outreach program spent a significant amount of time speaking to me and answering my questions via telephone and email. Even though I was not yet a client, I was receiving a level of assistance and courtesy that I had never received from my daughter's previous preschool where I was actually paying tuition.
The director of the Outreach Program then took on my daughter's case, and handled all the details with my insurance company so that my daughter could start receiving ABA services. Thanks to Angela, my daughter now receives over 15 hours a week!
We are very happy with the progress my daughter has made so far. There are a number of programs actively being run to address her needs. I love the clinic sessions that I get to sit in on, because I feel that I too am a part of her therapy. My daughter's case manager is very open and easy to talk to. I've addressed concerns about my daughter as well as concerns about her programs or the therapy in general, and she has always taken the time to listen objectively and discuss options. I've always been made to feel that I can speak openly and that my concerns are taken seriously.
The director of the outreach program and my daughter's case manager have both assisted me in reaching out to my daugher's preschool teacher and child study team. They've assisted me in knowing what I had to ask for, as well as explaining what to expect from the meeting process. They have also assisted by reaching out to the school as well so that they can coordinate my daughter's programs with her classroom needs.
My daughter was only diagnosed about 8 months ago, and it has been a very big adjustment for our entire family. The Alpine Learning Group has assisted us in many ways, and helped us to see that our daughter has great opportunities ahead of her, and they can help her work towards her greatest potential.
We are very happy with the Alpine Learning Group and would absolutely recommend them to anyone who has a child on the spectrum.

Our two boys, Justin (15) and Brandon (11) have autism and attend Alpine Learning Group. Our daughter, Katherine (8) is typical and is in third grade.
When people think of autism, they tend to think only of the affected individual, but the needs and behaviors of an individual with autism have a dramatic affect on their entire family. These needs and behaviors and the interaction (or potential interaction) of the affected individuals with other family members and the community must be considered by us when planning or engaging in almost everyday activity. In our case, because we have two children with autism, the considerations are even greater.
As you are probably aware, ALG is a leader in the education of individuals with autism. As you may not be aware, as part of this educational process, ALG provides education and support on a daily basis to the parents and siblings of their learners.
ALG takes a holistic approach to each learner, their families and the interaction between the family members. While the progress that Justin and Brandon have made, and continue to make in the classroom at ALG is amazing, what is often most noticeable are their social achievements in our home and in the community.
On a regular basis the staff of ALG work together with us, and with Justin, Brandon and Katherine, in our house and in the community to address common social and behavioral issues that affect children with autism. As a result of their hard work, our family is now able to participate in many activities that may be considered commonplace for typical families, but previously seemed to be unobtainable for us. Every time we engage in one of these activities we are reminded of and thankful for the skill and dedication of ALG.
Our appreciation of the hard work and dedication of the staff of ALG and of the impact on our children and our family is beyond words.
