I have worked with the Allen Rossum Healthy Kids Klub for over 5 years and it is truly a remarkable organization, dedicated to serving and educating youth about the dangers of obesity. The HKK provides youth with fantastic programming and tools to help fight obesity and live significantly healthier lifestyles. The ED is amazing and reaches many youths who would otherwise not learn about the value living a health-concious and substance-free life.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the Atlanta community and beyond. I have seen inner-city youths interact with volunteers, Allen Rossum and other celebraties and really change the way they think about healthy, substance-free lifestyles. I have also the youth and teachers participating in Instant Recess - a program designed by the HKK to give teachers and kids a structured way to stay active during the school day. Specifically, the HKK has reached thousands of children and has helped increase the number of schools that participate in recess in Atlanta.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the passion and thoughtfulness they bring the table. The HKK has continously amazed me with how well they plan and execute events to create tangible impact in the communities they serve.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

all very engaged and committed to the mission of the organization.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

reduce the percent of children who suffer from obesity (and subsequently - diabetes, adult-onset diabetes, heart disease, etc...) in the US. By rolling out broader programming, the HKK could touch more children, improve their health education and increase the amount of education children recieve around healthy lifestyles.
