When I landed in San Antonio in 2011 I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of homeless pets and needless euthanasia. AAPAW became my go-to resource for local animal welfare information. AAPAW representatives helped direct me to where my talents could best be utilized. So instead of spinning my wheels in frustration I have been able to help save lives. I was originally discouraged from trying to help homeless animals, but AAPAW and the members that I networked with gave me needed encouragement and creative solutions to reach my goals (saving animal lives).
