I had the pleasure of knowing Akash Jacob Kuruvilla as a fraternity brother and he was nothing short of the ideal brother. He never made you feel inferior, always was available for advice, genuinely cared about the real person in you as opposed to what society viewed you as, was extremely professional and capable of every task he came across, and so much more. Having direct relations with him showed me he was a great individual but sadly enough having lost him has allowed me to see him through the eyes of a father, mother, sister, girlfriend, other family members and close friends. With just the right balance of purity and mischeif, I have come to realize he was the perfect son, brother, lover, and friend. With the loss of such a great individual, it is only right we keep his legacy alive. His close friends, brothers, and family have made an effort to keep Akash alive through this scholarship so that others in the position he was in his life can achieve greatness with the help of our funds. We want everyone to know about the life and times of Akash while simultaneously being rewarded for keeping their eyes on their goals in times of hardships and reaching out for the "American Dream."

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

attending the scholarship banquets as well as talking to the recipients about their life and how this scholarship will help shape their future.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

definitely try to get more attention to this scholarship so that it can reach out to everyone in need and ultimately choose the most qualified candidate.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

how close the whole committee is and how many volunteers are available every year out of the pure genuine love and interest of the man who it honors.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

loving, caring, professional, passionate, openly inviting, helpful, genuine, and the positive descriptions have almost no end.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

bless a lot of lives in directing them towards success in educational aspirations.

Ways to make it better...

this scholarship was online for the application review process so it can be accessed remotely (which I believe is in the works and only a matter of time before it is completed).

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the proper publicity to make this a major scholarship that students nationwide strive for.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I really hope no one loses hope, faith, or commitment to this as I would hate to see it fall apart.

It is always such a blessing to have individuals who are willing to work with us to ensure that Akash's memory stays alive. Thank you for reminding us that this fund isn't just about awarding scholarships but also about remembering a great man.

Akash was the kind of man who people looked up to and wanted to become. One famous line by him, which I will always remember, is: "do not give me a problem, give me a solution." I will always remember that and try to lead my life by the examples that he put before us. I hope that we can see greater visibility of this scholarship so that he may continue to impact the lives of others.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Seeing individuals who were in financial need but possessed the strengths and skills to make a change in this world. I find this particularly important and this scholarship fund looks to do that.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

want more visibility so that it could continue changing the lives of many more for the greater good.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the willingness and ability to give so selflessly.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

caring, considerate, knowledgeable, dedicated, determined, and passionate.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

give those $10 million to impact the lives of those who about the ability and the determination to make a change.

Ways to make it better...

there is nothing I could change.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the lack of financial support and visibility that it is currently receiving.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I hope those who have the ability to enhance this scholarship should do so in hopes of helping and touching the lives of others.
