AIR COMPASSION FOR VETERANS
Invite reviews
As the wife of an Angel Flight pilot, I had the honor of participating in ACV's "Halos and Heroes" 2008 fly-in. It was truly an honor to meet and provide tranportation for these wounded warriors from Walter Reed. To listen to their stories, to gain a glimmer of what these soldiers and their families have endured, was inspirational. It was the greatest pleasure to transport just one couple away from the hospital, surgeries, recoveries and rehab requirements for just a few days. Heidi and the crew from ACV are dedicated to arranging whatever is necessary to get our veterans (and their families) transportation for medical services or a simple respite from the long recovery process. Their compassion for our wounded warriors and their passion for the services provided, fundraising, and promoting public awareness (as we first met at the information booths during the Andrews Air Show) are an example to be followed by all. We truly need more people to step up and help out the way these folks do.

We have hosted an annual event at our aviation museum in Virginia Beach, where we have seen first hand the fine work that Air Compassion does with such veterans. We congratulate them on their efforts and wish them continued success. What a great organization this is for people in need. Seldom do you think about the difficulties people face in a crisis, but when you experience it firsthand you understand. This organization is there when you need it and was a godsend to us in our time of need.
