I'm a retired Naval Officer and combat verteran as a Naval Aviator during Desert Storm. I am involved in other organizations that are both for profit and non profit, and I can safely say that I have more passion for what I see ACV doing than I do for anything else I do on a daily basis. The commitment, dedication and effort everyone puts into this much needed outreach and Mission is incomparable.

I am a VietNam and Desert Shield/ Desert Storm veteran. I am proud to serve as a member of the ACV Board of Directors. ACV is a safety net for our wounded warriors provding them and their family members with cost free medically related air tranportation when DoD and VA resources are not available. An OIF wounded warrior that I befriended was helped twice by ACV. I know of no better charity helping out wounded warriors than ACV.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

reading the letters of appreciation from wounded warriors, helping a wounded warrior obtain air transportation and serving on the Board of Directors.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the commitment and care given to each of our veterans.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

kind, compassionate, caring and passionately veteran oriented.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

continue its work for at least five years to accomodate the growing numbers of wounded warriors with PTSD an TBI.

Never have I seen so few (volunteers) do so much for our veterans in their time of need with so much compassion and so few funds. When the goverment services are not timely or not available Air Compassion for Veterans steps in ( by invitation ) to see that medical services are available at some distant location and transports the wounded warrior and his family at no cost.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Transport of my wife for open heart surgery at Cleveland Clinic (and return). Timing and ease for the"patient"and me was critical and done so well by the flight crew(volunteers) Coordination of services at both ends of trip was seemless and appropriate

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

caring compassionate and professional

I help with fundraising, public education and combined federal campaign activities. This is a wonderful charity that provides free medically related air transportation for wounded warriors, veterans and their families when DOD is unable to do so which is often. ACV is now providing over 500 flights per month. The staff and volunteers are extremely passionate about helping those who sacrifice for our country.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

visiting walter reed medical center and hearing wounded military praise the efforts of ACV

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

provide hundreds more service personnel with badly needed air transportation for medical treatment or rehabilitation

I assist in writing fundfing proposals for Air Compassion for Veterans. I know their financial numbers and they spend at least 95% of the funds given for the program - on program costs. They spend no money for fundraising and a bare minimum on corporate administration. I also see the letters of appreciation coming in from Generals to privates. They do outstanding work.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

providing hundreds of airline tickets to wounded warriors and their adversely affected family members - every month!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

do the full task of providing medically related transport for veterans for about three years. There are no government funds available to meet this need.

I have been affiliated with ACV for about a year. I have also been affliated with several other non-profit organizations. I have have found the ACV and its staff are clearly more caring, more giving, more focused and more professional than any other non-profit organization that I know. Their ONLY motivation is to ensure that our veterans and their families get the care they need and deserve. NONE BETTER!!!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

reports,confernece calls and personal interaction.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

their extraordinary caring, focus and professionalism.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

absolutely exquisite, completely professional and sefless in all of their behavior.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help many more of our veterans and their families receive the medical cre they require.

Ways to make it better...

It was and is GREAT!!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

adequate funding

One thing I'd also say is that...

They truly get the "biggest bang for the buck"!!!
