I have been involved with ACV for about 2 years. I could write pages and pages about the work that they do and the veterans they have helped. I do not have direct experiences to write about. However, I do have experince with nonprofits and the people that make them tick. I listen to the stories, the work and witness the dedication of the leadership. From my point of view, organizations survive because of their resiliency. In these times of economic challenges, ACV does not complain about lack of funding, instead they chose to work harder coming up with ways to continue their mission. We are lucky to have our veterans, our veterans are lucky to have ACV.

Achilles International has partnered with Air Compassion for Veterans to provide flights for recently wounded veterans to participate in marathons around the country as part of their rehabilitation. Because of Air Compassion's support, we are able to include more wounded veterans on these trips giving them the opportunity to achieve and set goals post injury. It is a pleasure working with the staff there and we look forward to continuing our partnership on future events.

This organization is by far the #1 nonprofit providing charitable air transportation to wounded veterans and/or veteran family members FREE of charge. The compassion which they show and the passion in which they serve is Americanism at its finest!

ACV is a totally dedicated group of people. They have a real passion for serving our armed forces. They provide critical transportation to wounded warriors to get to specialized treatment and how ACV makes that happen when government can't cover the cost. As a retired Naval Officer, I cannot emphaisize the importance of their efort to the military members and their families.

Served 30 years in the Air Force including two combat tours. Personally experienced the trauma and stress that affects our men and women wounded in combat. ACV flys our wounded warriors to/from specialized treatment centers when no other organization is equipped to do so. ACV also provides air transport for a wounded warrior's family members to with them at the treatment facility. It is my privilege to support ACV financially and as a member of an affliated board.

angels and heroes in thier own right. The pilots donate their time and aircraft willingly to fly these woulnded warriors. The staff of ACV are true "behind the scene" patriots as they insure each warrior is taken care of.

I have found Air Compassion for Veterans to be totally dedicated to helping our men and women in uniform. They unselfishly give of time and resources to make the lives of our veterans better and let them know how much we appreciate their service. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous. Their annual Halos and Heros appreciation in Virginia Beach brings together veterans froma ll branches of service to enjoy food, fellowship, friends and entertainment in a very patriotic environment.

I served 35 years in the US Army and served in combat on two separate deployments. I am a veteran of the Vietnam War. I have witnessed first hand the casualties on the battlefield as well as the casualties the service men and their families endure on a continuing basis back home. The Air Compassion for Veterans (ACV) plays a major role in seeing that these casualties are in fact taken care of and provide an extremely important service by providing transportation to the wounded warriors and their families to receive critical specialized medical treatment. If it were not for ACV some of these patients would not receive the care they so desparetly need due to the lack of government funds. The ACV is one of the most worthy organizations we have today supporting the wounded warriors.

It is a profound joy to join in helping Air Compassion For Veterans assist our military heroes. Whether helping with Internet programming, flying a veteran in need of medical care, or attending a ceremony to honor our wounded warriors, Air Compassion For Veterans has provided me not only with an opportunity to serve, but with an opportunity to be personally blessed.
