I am proud to have worked as a Program Associate with Aid for Africa. With a very small staff, AFA is able to help more than 80 charities address many diverse issues including education, healthcare, wildlife protection, agriculture and environmental conservation. In addition to providing financial support, AFA is uniquely able to facilitate collaboration between its members, so that together they can leverage their resources to make a greater impact. It was inspiring to be a part of an organization so committed to its mission of helping people on the grass roots level in Africa.

Aid for Africa is a NGO that I have had the honor of volunteering for and I am pleased to say that, since they are the representative African Aid Organization for many different charity causes in Africa, I feel my time is well spent in helping them with my efforts. Aid for Africa does the hard work of ensuring that other non-profits have the resources to carry forward their individual visions, while being guided by its own clear mission of a united effort of service.

Aid for Africa is a unique organization that works with its partners to meet a broad range of health, safety, nutritional, educational and environmental needs facing the individuals and communities in Sub Saharan Africa.

In my opinion, there is no other organization which so effectively supports the efforts in local communities as they develop successful solutions to address their local needs.

I have been volunteering with this organization since 2010: during the fall, by traveling throughout the New England area – at no expense to Aid for Africa – to inform those attending workplace giving charity fairs about the outstanding work Aid for Africa does in Sub Saharan Africa; and year-round, by assisting with other activities as needed.

I cannot speak highly enough about Aid for Africa and what it accomplishes in addressing the needs of individuals and communities in Sub Saharan Africa.
