The Afterschool Alliance is the best hope for securing permanent funding for the after school programs that our young people need and deserve. I know when I get involved in their efforts I'm working along with thousands of other sfor the same purpose. We're making a difference for children. We still have a long way to go, but as long as the Afterschool Alliance is here, I have a great deal of hope.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

a visit to the after school program that I operate by Steny Hoyer, the Majority Leader in the House of Representatives. Staff from the After School Alliance helped me prepare for this event and make it a success that has helped our program gain local financial support because of the endorsement of Hoyer.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Learning from their experts. They have a wealth of knowledge that I depend on for spreading the word about the importance of after school programs.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

enthusiastic and dedicated.
