AFRICAID INC Reviews
AfricAid creates a pathway out of poverty through education and leadership mentoring for girls in Tanzania, Africa.
I recently found out that 100% of the girls in AfricAid's "Kisa" leadership mentoring project, graduate from high school. This is significant in a country where less than 5% of girls complete high school.
The two-and-a-half year Kisa program includes weekly mentoring sessions led by strong, young, educated Tanzanian women. These mentors are unique role-models for girls who are the first in their families to attend high school.
When Kisa scholars finish high school, they participate in a six-month leadership immersion in their local communities and teach what they have learned to younger girls, becoming role-models them-selves and encouraging a new cycle of education. One Kisa scholar taught 300 younger girls, thus expanding Kisa's impact exponentially.
