I cannot say enough wonderful things about this organization. Their selfless work gives animals that would otherwise not make it a chance for a new and wonderful life. I adopted two precious pit bulls that they saved. The pictures they showed me of what condition they were in when AARF rescued them would break your heart. They were literally dying. They were abut 8 months old and only weighed 12 pounds. They were being starved to death. You could see every bone in their little bodies. AARF took them in when all looked hopless for these two little girls. I have had them now for a little over a year. They now weigh 50+ pounds, are beautiful, happy and full of life. I will always be grateful that they were given a second chance at life. They are so a great addition to household. Thank you AARF!

I adopted 2 dogs from AARF Inc. in April 2011. The organization was helpfull and gave me great advice on which dogs they thought would fit best in my home. We already had one dog and she is a bit agressive and we needed to find a dog that would be able to deal with the way she plays. They suggested two dogs for us and even met us in a different location than they normally would so that we could see how the dogs would react to one another. Needless to say Our family fell in love with both of the dogs and we adopted both of them. All of our pets are happy and thriving. I was amazed that they would make the extra effort to help us find our new family member. And we walked away with two. They have continued to keep in touch with us and have answered any questions no matter how trivial they may be. If you have a pet that needs a little more work to find a playmate I recomend AARF. They know the temperments and personalities of their dogs and that was a tremendous help to us, and has allowed our adoption to be an easy transition for the dogs as well as our family. We love all three of our pets and they give us great joy.

Both of the dogs that I adopted were found on the streets and in bad shape. The loving care the organization gives to their aminals was amazing. Both of the dogs I adopted had been nursed back to health by loving, caring people in this organization. They did a wonderful job with both of the dogs. They are well tempered and well rounded pets.

So far I have not experianced anything that I would change about the organization.

My family adopted our sweet dog Lola from Adopt A Rescued Friend in October 2010. Our application was processed efficiently making the adoption process seamless. Vicky Mazyn scheduled a meet & greet to ensure compatibility with all family members. Overall a wonderful adoption experience. Thank you AARF!

finding my newest family member. We couldn't imagine life before our Lola.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

ask the foster homes to be forthcoming about possible pet behavior issues.

My husand and I adopted a female dog in December from Adopt a Rescue Friend. After completing an Application and several e-mails from the Director, Vicky Mazyn, it was determined that they had a dog who might be a perfect fit for our family. Arrangements were made for a meet/greet/adoption in The Woodlands. It was love at first sight and our little dog rules the household!!! She is just adorable and so sweet. Everyone connected with Adopt a Rescue Friend was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable -- Vicky Mazyn was quick to respond to my e-mails and answer all my questions. I would definitely adopt from their organization again. It is a pleasure to write a review about this fine organization. Dianne Porter
