AcroSports is a wonderful organization that offers children and adults new opportunities to exercise and explore their imaginations, cross cultural traditions, empowerment and simply have fun. I took a Capoeira class here with a fabulous Brazilian instructor who was patient, generous and kind. You can also learn to master Parkour (the French art of urban climbing) in a safe and padded setting. Bring your kids and you can enjoy dance, gymnastics and staying healthy together.
The Great!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
The community of Parkour on the streets of San Francisco

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Be so pleased with my decisions in life.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
discovering the Brazilian community in my city. I was invited to a Capoeira fundraiser the next evening and it was amazing.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Friendly, accommodating and easy to work with.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Build its own festival with music and circus, arts and dance performers from around the world.
Ways to make it better...
We could pre-pay for a group online before getting there.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
marketing. I knew a man who worked here and that's how I found out about it. They need more press.

My 10 year old son recently participated in 1 week of circus camp and 1 week of x-sports camp. He has never been so enthusiastic about any other summer camp he has been enrolled in. Each day when I picked him up, he was full of stories about what he learned at camp. To top it off, he actually enjoyed participating in the end of week performance for the parents. I think this is because the instructors let the campers contribute ideas about what they want the performance to be. So, the campers develop, practice, and put on their own performance with the guidance of the instructors. My son usually loathes school performances and gets very nervous before his piano recitals and I knew this camp was worth every penny spent when my tween said to me, "Mom, I wasn't embarassed at all."

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Try to reach out more to young children from lower socio-economic groups. Many public schools have had to cut PE programs, especially to younger students because of budget crisis.
