I don't know where the money goes. We paid $225 for a puppy and they have no shelter to pay for or other overhead costs like paying staff as the staff all volunteer. The puppy had not been to the vet like they said and they could not produce shot records. We we took the puppy to the vet, the vet noticed significant health concerns and asked where we got the dog. When we told her, she explained that A Puppys Voice has a terrible record in the Fort Collins vet community. They are a puppy mill operating as a non-profit. They staff would not return our calls after we went to the vet and when we spoke to them personally, they could not answer our questions about the dogs history or where the dog came from. Friends of ours that also purchased a dog from them also contacted them to get some information and they also were not helped. I had not thought about it, but the fact they get entire litters, claim to know the exact lineage but somehow don't know the birth date or even the state the dogs came from is pretty suspicious also. I advise anyone to try other non-profits and not to do what we did, which was take the easier option of just buying a dog outside petco on a saturday.
