EESI gives the most balanced, useful, complete and relevant information on topics concerning the environment and energy. I use their fact sheets and white papers all the time for my work within these fields. EESI is the Go To organization.
As a news-and-discussion-network admin focused on caring for people and planet, EESI's dedication to research and fairness makes it a primary resource. I usually share more than one post from EESI every week, and these shares are among our most liked and re-shared.
For years I have relied on the EESI weekly Clmate News summary as the most useful on the subject. It helps me keep up with news on research, planning and negotiations as well as legislation and policy initiatives in the field.
EESI occupies a unique position, contributing to Congress's work but also talking to general public and other interests. Working in a somewhat similar organization, I judge their work to be excellent, and sometimes unmatched, which is why I have contributed to supporting them for years.
EESI has earned great respect on Capitol Hill over decades for quality, expert-based briefings, forums and publications developed to enhance understanding and informed response to climate change. Staff and materials provide a foundation for in-depth analysis and strategy development for mitigating and adapting to the effects of climate change by a myriad of audiences.
As executive director of an organization dedicated to advocating for understanding, development and use of advanced biofuels as an alternative to petroleum, EESI's briefings, forums, newsletters, connections to decision-makers for policy, advocacy and industry constantly and consistently proves valuable in my work.
EESI staff retain a healthy skepticism and open mind as they help the world, particularly the US, explore evolving information about causes, effects and solutions or responses to climate change.
This organization must continue serving as a crucial guide to the multi-dimensional world of conscientious policy-making and social and business/industrial related to climate change.
EESI should not only continue its current work, but expansion would benefit its value to all of us. There's so much to do. EESI's valuable considered contribution, the expertise it has developed over decades and its culture of evaluation and promotion of wide-ranging ideas must continue. I urge all to do whatever is in your power to make this happen.
EESI has the unique ability to both educate key policy-makers and the general public through their well-organized newsletters, fact-sheets and briefings on The Hill. I had the rewarding experience of interning with EESI for several months, and could not be more impressed with the staff's involvement and leadership in today's energy and climate change issues on a national level. Their weekly newsletters and briefings cover a wide-range of issues and are still my go-to news sources.
The EESI weekly bulletin "EESI Climate Change News" is the most comprehensive and cleanly presented roundup of important environmental events from the previous week. The formatting and presentation makes it easy to digest, while the topics are all well selected and often cover ground that I haven't seen in other sources. I have recommended this newsletter to other climate enthusiasts.
EESI provides weekly news for those of us who are committed to improving the environment, and wished we had time to obtain all the information they provide in a nicely compiled format with summaries.
I've served on and have worked on several boards for nonprofit organizations over the past 20 years. EESI is an exemplary model of nonprofit management. EESI constantly evaluates its mission and strategic plan relative to its objectives and tactics. Everyone works in unison. The result is that operations tie in admirably with goals. Really a five-star operation! Staff and volunteers have a commitment to EESI's mission, and they are moving the needle every day.

EESI staff specialize in several different topic areas allowing the organization to address topics that are of interest to all members of the community. In doing so, EESI becomes most remarkable in its ability to address both policymakers and the general public with briefings, fact sheets, and other publications. The institute’s newsletters are note-worthy as they provide the most up-to-date information on environmental and energy issues. EESI’s briefings are always exciting as the organization brings in many different perspectives, allowing for a lively discussion during the Q&A. The organization, with its small size, continues to impress me with all that it does.
EESI consistently delivers on its mission of providing education and information on energy and the environment. Communicating knowledge is powerful and this organization has it right! The newsletters and briefings are terrific. It is great that the briefings are open to anyone and can also be viewed on-line.
EESI does an outstanding job of keeping me informed on the great challenges affecting our environment - especially those relating to energy efficiency, renewable energy, and climate change. EESI's numerous briefings, fact sheets, and policy papers are invaluable to me: I turn to their materials first when I need substantive and concise information regarding these issues. I give the organization five stars for its great work.
