It is so unusual to have such prompt support. We had several questions after the adoption, and if our phone calls weren't answered on the second or third ring we would get a call back in less than an hour. The Greyhounds we had to choose from were very happy and healthy. As a matter of fact we dad a difficult time choosing a winner from the more than a dozen we "interviewed".
We had a wonderful experience with Adopt a Greyhound Atlanta. Carl was great in matching a greyhound that was cat & dog tested. Our dog has been a great addition to our family. Carl was very friendly, professional, clean and healthy environment for the dogs. Loved our experience!
I adopted a greyhound from AAGA in July and throughout the process everyone at AAGA has been very helpful and supportive. Carl really took his time to help us pick out a greyhound that would fit our family and our lifestyle. He's always been available to answer any questions we have about our greyhound acclimating to pet life.
Carl is the greyhound whisperer. We have adopted 3 greyhounds from him and no one knows this breed like he does. He is the only person we trust with boarding our hounds. Great facility too!
I met Carl in 2007, when I adopted my first greyhound from Adopt a Greyhound Atlanta. I had owned other dogs, but I was new to greyhounds, and he helped me pick out the most wonderful greyhound who recently had her 12th birthday. This year, we added another one to our family. Carl is experienced, friendly, and takes such great care of all the hounds who walk through his doors. He will answer any questions you have and is always available to talk if you have a concern about your dog. I have boarded my dogs with him exclusively over the years and I have never had to worry about their well-being while I am away. Adopt a Greyhound Atlanta is one of my favorite places to visit. So many dogs have found homes because of AAGA and I tell everyone I know about the operation Carl is running - it truly is hound heaven.
Carl is a caring, engaged professional running a top notch organization. Not only have we adopted two hounds from him, (the first 8 years ago, the other two months ago), we regularly board there with confidence and peace of mind. Whenever anyone we meet talks about wanting a dog, I always say the same two things: 1. Get a greyhound and 2. Get it from Adopt a Greyhound Atlanta.
Today I adopted another great hound from Carl. I've known Carl at Adopt A Greyhound Atlanta for many years. He is incredible. Adopt a Greyhound Atlanta facilities were designed with greyhounds in mind; it has the cozy feel of a home.
Carl knows the personality of each dog in his care and does his best to match the right greyhound with the right family. His services do not end when you walk out the door with your new hound. Carl is there to give advice and support for the life of the hound and beyond.
In addition to finding homes for these wonderful dogs, Adopt A Greyhound is also a greyhound boarding facility. When I travel, I would not consider leaving my babies with anyone else.
As a new greyhound owner, I could not be happier with all of the help Carl has given me this year. He is always there to answer any questions or concerns that I have with my retired racer. Adopting from this organization has truly changed my life, and I will be going back in the future to continue to adopt more racers!
9 years, 4 greyts and 1 whippets worth of experience with Carl. No, he doesn't normally do whippets. But this was a case where he went beyond his norm and responded to a call for help to save a whippet living in the woods during the winter months. She has been with us for several years now and believes herself to be just one of the greyhounds.
We have appreciated Carl's knowledge and advice over the years. And his support during the passing of two wonderful males.
It has been our pleasure to do volunteer work with his organization at the "Meet and Greets" allowing prospective forever home parents to meet not only his fresh off the track adoptees, but also our "Greyt" children.
I've been adopting greyhounds from Carl and AAGA for over nine years now, and cannot imagine going anywhere else for a dog. After adopting our first girl, we have volunteered with the group and have had the joy of meeting many dogs and their adopted humans. Carl has such a high regard for the greyhounds in his care; I've often remarked that he likes them better than people!
The adoption process was at all times pleasant and the fun of meeting the dogs and the ability to choose from among those available makes AAGA stand out from the crowd.
