I have been involved with Interfaith Senior Programs for over 6 years, most of that time as a Board Director.
I have been involved with a number of nonprofit organizations and have served on many Boards. This organization is among the best.
It has an important mission. Seniors are a valuable asset in our communities. Yet seniors also are among our most frail and some have transportation and other needs. ISP taps into the resources of our senior population and applies it to a number of organizations, schools, and seniors in need.
It is connected to the community and aware of its needs. Its advisory boards consist of past Board Directors, community leaders, seniors and clients. It is connected to over 70 congregations.
It has excellent leadership at the staff and Board level. Its Executive Director, Kathy Gale, is widely respected in the community for her vision and leadership skills. The Board is among the most active that I have been on.
Most importantly, it achieves results and has made a significant difference in this community. There are pages of testimonials from seniors, family members, professional and students.
