I have supported HPSP for years because of their 20 year commitment to community based initiatives in Haiti. HPSP supports a number of projects in Haiti, including orphanages, health clinics, schools, business cooperatives and micro-lending projects. Right now HPSP is on the ground working tirelessly to get much needed food, medical supplies and emergency equipment to those who need it most.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

a multitude of ways. I have seen kids grow up with opportunities that they would have not otherwise had if they had. I have seen communities learn to feed themselves and teach others how to do the same.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

expand the # and diversity of projects that it supports.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the lifelong connections that I have made with the children at the Masion D'espoir orphanage in Gressier, Haiti.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

generous, fun, knowledgeable and ready to work.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

change the face of Haiti.

Ways to make it better...

we had access to greater resources.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the institutional complexities that one faces in third-world countries like Haiti.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I am so personally grateful to the founders of HPSP for opening my eyes to the amazing, vibrant, joyful world of Haiti!
