Reviews for Child Sponsorship International Inc

Rating: 5 stars

After visiting this ministry on a short-term ministry visit, I felt immediately drawn to its vision to minister to the dis-advantaged and sometimes abandoned children on the Island of Roatan. Since I was invited and accepted to serve on the Board of Directors, my passion for this ministry has grown. As a pastor of a church in the states, its been my privileged to engage our congregation in this ministry though both financial and physical support. It has become a major element of our global ministries. One of the key influences in our partnership has been the dedication and the passion of the "home administrators" that serve selfishly on the island as well as the integrity and dedication of the other board members.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would develop it's donor base and enlarge its impact on the community by enlarging its enrollment in its school, the Beacon Academy

God has given my family the opportunity to serve this ministry both as short term missionaries and as a Board member for the ministry. I cannot say enough about the staff of the home as they care for the children that have been placed in our care. Through the love of Christ, they have forged a family out of children who come from different circumstances and backgrounds. As a result, the children have responded, each in their own way, to the love that has been shown to them, and have thrived because of that love. We look forward, with joy, to our trips back to Roatan to see our second family!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

The only thing I would change would be for the ministry to have a larger impact on the community around it by supplying it with the resources needed to do so.
