Being hosted by Y360 for the last two months and a half has been an amazing experience. I've not only enjoyed the warmth of the staff and their constant interest in helping us develop our ESL for missionaries, but also they've connected us so well with opportunities to serve the local community such as refugees from Asia and the Middle East, and the homeless of Colorado Springs.
And at a personal level I've felt so encouraged by them to develop my gifts of writing and painting. This humble group of leaders are impacting the world through what they do, from aiming at the TV audience in Africa, to providing Godly and quality material for education here in the States.
I invite you and recommend anybody to support this ministry.
I have spent 2 months at the Y360 Ywam Base in Colorado Springs, and I have 1 more month to spend with them here.
I come from Colombia and I've been teaching english in an ESL we are carrying out with the Y360 help.
It's been an amazing time to see the beautiful hearts the staff of this place have, they willigness to help our missionary students to speak their english, and the passion they have to serve God through communications. There are different projects going on in the Y360 office to reach people around the world through communications and to serve different spheres of society through media.
I am eager for the next month I'll have to spend here with them and to see in the future how God will use this place and these wonderful people for the extension of His Kingdom.
If you have an opportunity to come and visit, join their staff or support through prayers or finances I really encourage you to do it, it is a good ministry to invest in.
Y360 staff are just real and genuine people doing God's work. They have eagerly helped me connect with different refugee groups in town, and have a great network here. I appreciate their personal commitment to be and do in Jesus name, not for their own notoriety and reputation....though their reputation is great!
Y360 made a fantastic video for the ministry of a friend of mine. This video captured her heart and the mission of the ministry and has been shown to many people to educate and inform them about the ministry. I love the servant hearts of the Y360 folks and count it a blessing to know and support them.
A truly international cross-cultural ministry with an international cross-cultural highly dedicated staff based in Colorado Springs presenting a ministry point of view from personal experience on a university campus in the U.S.A. to Native American communities, field-based missionaries in Latin America, and urban and rural settings in Africa and South Asia. While being tech-savvy, technology is simply the tool for more effective communication. Get to know them, they're great personable people!
Have always enjoyed the people at Y360...a great team spirit, a wonderful sense of humor, and a strong sense of mission, in terms of what they have to offer the larger Body of Christ as we reach into significant 'holes' in the human need world...specifically with their professionalism in communication and media development for leading-edge programs/journals/other visual media which is designed to connect especially with newer, millenial generation.
Y360 has in the past partnered with our work among an indigenous community in Arizona. They have mostly come to provide support to us as the workers who serve full time in that area. They also helped us with practical needs with our facility. They were also able to get into our community a bit and positively interact with elders and young people.
I have worked in the Muslim world locally and remotely for over 25 years. Y360 has a significant ministry in communication and training local ministers. They provide support and education that is greatly needed by local ministries in 3rd world and developing countries. I highly recommend them to volunteer with or to financially support.
My wife Cathy and I were invited to two Christmas evenings sponsored by Y360 and enjoyed each occasion greatly. We were invited to be a "gentle" table leader to start or guide discussion.
The response to the events was very encouraging, with the folks coming probably about 80 % people outside Christian faith but open and curious. Our table had several cautiously open Iraqis and the conversation was good.
The programme was also creative and well-organized, and the food was wonderful. The only part of the evening that failed miserably was my attempt to lose some weight...:)
