Truman Medical Centers - Behavioral Health Overview
Mental illness and emotional problems are serious barriers to any young person’s success at home, in school, at work, and in the community. The Futures program provides counseling to youth and young adults and their family members. We help youth and young adults attain skills for successful relationships. We provide support and medication services, working with multiple youth systems to help young people become healthy, happy and prepared for the future. Our innovative models range from parent-child therapy to art and play therapy. The "Transition to Independence" model focuses on supporting young people with mental illness to fulfill adult roles.
