Mission: To provide and coordinate the highest quality, compassionate cancer care for the communities we serve.
Programs: See schedule o services that support cancer patients, their families and the community. The cancer center provided free breast and cervical screenings for 273 un-insured or under-insured women. We also provided 504 free screenings & diagnostic mammograms. The cancer center performed 87 prostate screenings, 73 skin cancer screenings, and 135 lung screenings for high risk community members. The patient financial counselor provided free financial counseling services to 195 patients. The chaplain program provided free grief counseling and other psych/social counseling related to cancer diagnoses for 802 cancer patients. The cancer center's nurse navigation services provided navigation support for 1,720 cancer patients. The cancer center has many educational programs presented in our wellness center for the general public, and many more educational outreach presentations given out in the community. Tobacco cessation classes for 82 community members. In 2014, a total of 48 educational/outreach presentations were given and were attended by 1,225 community members. The cancer wellfit program is a collaboration between a local health and fitness club and the cancer center, 50 cancer patients participated in this free program this year. The cancer center is affiliated with the seattle cancer care alliance (scca) in order to bring world class care and clinical trials to the community.
