Reviews for Trg International
In the Summer of 2008, I embarked on one of the most meaningful journeys in my life to serve various communities in need in South Africa. Until this experience, I have never been a part of a community service opportunity like the one TRG International put together for the communities of South Africa as well as the participants in the trip.
If anyone is passionate about service and making a lasting positive impact in the world then I highly recommend them to look more into TRG International and participate. The world needs more people like us.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the summer 2008. It is also a great network of people to be affiliated with.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
not change anything.
Would you volunteer for this group again?
For the time you spent, how much of an impact did you feel your work or activity had?
Did the organization use your time wisely?
Would you recommend this group to a friend?
What one change could this group make that would improve your volunteer experience?
Make the trip longer.
Did your volunteer experience have an effect on you? (teaching you a new skill, or introducing new friends, etc.)
Definitely, it affected my perspective on how others live and forced me to care about others and the advancement of someone that is not related to me. It helped me shift my paradigm to considering the well being of the human condition.
How did this volunteer experience make you feel?
I really did not want to leave because the students and other people in the community were so grateful for having us teach them and help them. It seems as if they wanted everything we were willing to offer. I have never felt more needed or significant in my life.
