Mission: Founded by Zygmund Baranaki, Robert Hollander, Amilcare Iannucci, and Lino Pertile in 1991, the International Dante Seminar has as its purpose the furtherance of international discussion of a scholarly kind of the works of Dante Alighieri (1265 - 1321). Its first seminar was held in Princeton, NJ, in 1994. The second will take place in Switzerland in 1997; the third in Florence in 2000. The proceedings of the first meeting are due to be published in 1996 (Florence: Le Lettere).
