This is a charity that truly cares about individuals, people with issues and much more. I called, inquiring about if I were to make a donation, where the money would go. At first, I called the 1(888) number, and was directed to a lady who could possibly better answer my question. I asked the lady who had answered the phone, " If I were to make a donation, how could i find out where that money goes to? I just want to know where my donation would go and what it would be used for if I were to make a donation." " That's a great question," exclaimed the lady. " Let me direct you to someone who could answer that question in it's entirety."
After being placed on hold for just a moment, a lady answered, and I asked the same question. " Now that IS a great question! I am not sure how to answer that completely, so let me please take down your contact information, and either I or someone who can fully answer that question will call you back with an answer, if that sounds okay with you." I was a bit skeptical about getting a call back because I had never dealt with an organization before. I gave her my information, and we parted telephone ways.
About an hour or so after I had hung up with the nice lady on the other end, I received a call from a PA phone number. Not sure who it was, I picked up. " Hello, this is Al** B****," I said. The reply I received still astounds me. " Hi, this is Bobby Schindler, is this A*** B****?"
Being a person that does his homework, I knew immediately that Bobby Schindler is Terri's brother. To get a call directly from him, I found to be amazing. I thought to myself that this was an organization that is truly involved! He proceeded to tell me exactly the information I needed to find out where my money would go to, what it helped with, etc. I was very pleased with my overall experience talking with the actual family of Terri Schiavo, and they were also very helpful. I recommend donating to this cause because it is obviously filled with people who truly care. This is a family that are dedicated to a cause, and they concentrate on spreading their message by means of educating the public and working with families who are going through the same ordeal. It's nice to find an organization that is actually altruistic in their intentions.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Donate more money so they could concentrate on helping those in need.
