I have worked with Tenacity for the past two months and it has been a great experience for me. I kids are wonderful...they love the competition. Perhaps more importantly, they greatly appreciate the tutoring -- any time I help it's always met with "please" and "thank you." I have sincerely enjoyed my experience thus far and look forward to going back for the rest of the semester. Hands down, a great place to volunteer.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The reaction of the children when they come to genuinely understand a homework concept. It's great to see that "aha!" moment.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Ways to make it better...

Perhaps maybe less volunteers...it seems as though there are more people at the site then are necessary to work efficiently.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

One thing I'd also say is that...

I have worked with Tenacity for 4 years tutoring and mentoring children during the school-year program. I have also attended and worked at several fund-raising events Tenacity has hosted. My experience has been fantastic. Tenacity has allowed me to directly connect with students and their families. The organization has well-trained staff who are competent and responsive as well as supportive. Their training has provided me with excellent tools. I would recommend anyone who is interested in youth education to volunteer with Tenacity.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Tenacity have been forthcoming in sharing the results of the program with me. I enjoy hearing how the program impacts the test scores of students.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Meeting the students and their families and developing long term relationships with them.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Very talented and competent. They sincerely enjoy working with the students and are very good at it.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Have better access to space. All the students in the school-year program would ideally have access to tennis courts and more appropriate classroom settings. Tenacity is a wonderful model and hopefully it will be able to spread to other cities.
