This is not a church, it is a cult. A totalitarian leadership that exists only for the ego of it's leader. The members of this church are disconnected from reality completely, but it is not their fault. They only follow what they have been taught. My life has improved a thousand times over since I decided to leave this cult. I would have been far better off donating 10% of my income to Metropolitan Ministries, or any organization who makes a tangible impact on the community. Tampa Bay Tabernacle does little if nothing for the community. All of your money is used to stroke egos and maintain complacency.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
I was involved in several ministries. We only rehearsed and performed for the congregation. Out reach programs are far and few between, maybe one or two per year.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Start from the ground up. Get rid of the legalistic theology. I would approach the congregation and community with genuine care and concern. Jesus put mankind before Himself, how much more should we? Instead of throwing the gospel at people to knock them down, why not present them with the character of Jesus. The leader who was humble and sat down, ate and drank with the common people.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
What specific problem, purpose, priority, or project prompted your gift?
I donated approximately 10% of my income to this church for several years, as I attended. Throughout that time, my money was wasted on a large building, which was converted from an old office building into a church. I originally gave my gift, as the pastor said that a curse is put upon anyone who steals from God by cheating him of tithe money. Since, the church has lost the building and now meets in a hotel.
What would you tell others about this organization?
Stay away, far away. Much of the congregation has left, because their eyes were opened. You have life, don't waste it here. Make a difference in the world, give to an organization who will use your money for good.
