Reviews for Streets Hope
1 person found this review helpful
Street's Hope provides a full, comprehensive, "360" of help to women who have been caught in the "sex for sale" trap. They give housing assistance, employment assistance, counseling and a variety of other aids to come alongside women who are marginalized and stigmatized by society. By addressing a variety of needs, they give women the support and encouragement they need to build a better life for themselves and their children.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Testimonies of female clients who have recieved their help
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Help them become better known in the Denver area.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
It helps a marginalized and stigmatized area of society that is often overlooked.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Kind, compassionate, very professional.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Greatly diminish the "sex for sale" industry, improve the quality of community health (less STD's transfered), reduce drug usage, improve their children's chances for a better life, reduce society's expense for taking care of these women later on.
Ways to make it better...
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Need for funding as the stigma of "sex for sale" women and their plight might hamper their fundraising efforts.
One thing I'd also say is that...
The sex trade appears to be increasing internationally and this group is on the cutting edge of helping those caught in a terrible business.
