Reviews for ST PETERSBURG FREE CLINIC INC
I met a gentleman who moved to St Pete from Michigan after losing his factory job and medical benefits. He is diabetic and was not able to afford medical care. I referred him to SP Free Clinic and he is now stable and managing his diabetes.
The Free Clinic is an organization that does incredible work for the people who need it the most. Thank you to all the staff and volunteers for making such a major difference in our community!
The St. Petersburg Free Clinic delivers a wide range of services to the community from healthcare to housing to a food bank that serves thousands of meals. it is an amazing organization.
The St. Petersburg Free Clinic has been providing assistance to the St. Petersburg Community for over 40 years. I have personally volunteered there over the years since 1976. The St. Petersburg Free Clinic is dedicated to closing the hunger gap and helping men, women and families that are in need of food, medical care, shelter and more. The clinic has a strong foundation, broad community support and strong leadership. The food bank is being expanded in a new location and will be able to accept more fresh and perishable foods and serve more people. The medical clinic will be able to expand into the space vacated by the current food bank and there is a brand new women's residence facility that doubles the number of women that can be served. The other agencies under the clinic's umbrella are We Help which provides emergency aid to families and the men's shelter, Beacon House.
A wonderful non-profit serving a client base that could many times fail to get much needed assistance.
St Petersburg Free Clinic does so much for the community from providing over 3mm pounds of food to community partners to providing health/dental care to hundreds of residents in need. Their commitment to our community is unparalleled and thousands of Pinellas residents are lucky to have such a stable, strong non-profit available to them.
I have used St Petersburg Free Clinic- Health services on a number of occasions and wow what a great experience; From Intake to triage to Doctors and Therapists> All are accommodating, understanding and so nice. This organization is a well oil machine. Other organizations, especially our government, could learn from the St Petersburg Free Clinic organization on how to treat people effectively and efficiently and kindly at minimal cost. I thank all; employees, volunteers and donors, one being a part of this wonderful organization
St. Pete Free Clinic has services that reach farther than most are aware. Its name is deceiving - in addition to free medical care, the Clinic is one of the largest providers of food to needy in the area. The Clinic also offers several housing programs for those in need. The Clinic runs entirely on donations and grants with an amazing staff and crew of volunteers.
St. Petersburg Free Clinic offers help and hope to neighbors in need throughout the community. The agency offers a wide range of programs to help people who are struggling with basic needs including hunger, medical, dental, housing, transportation, clothing, utilities and referrals.
As a volunteer, it is shocking and sad to see hundreds of people coming in each week for something as simple as a few bags of groceries yet it is a relief to know they have a place like St. Petersburg Free Clinic to go to get assistance.

Each year, thousands of people in our community come to St. Petersburg Free Clinic for assistance with basic needs including food, shelter, heath care, referrals and other basic services. As a weekly volunteer, I see people from all walks of life receive a helping hand from one of the Clinic's programs when they have no where else to turn. One gentleman in his nineties wrote, " Thank you for helping with my electric bill. I have terminal cancer and just want to stay warm. Your kindness and financial support with help me live out my last days in comfort." This is just one example of how a Clinic service can make life more bearable for a neighbor in need. And as a donor, I appreciate that donations are well spent to ensure that 90 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to client programs and services.

The Free Clinic's We Help program has assisted families, individuals and children (Pack A Sack) for many years with grace and compassion. Services range from food, identification, help with utility bills, and personal care items. It makes a true difference in the lives of the people who rely on it's services.
