One of the most successful projects of the Spokane Arts Commission and its support organization, Spokane Arts Fund, for 2010 has been our summer murals program. Spokane artist, Melissa Cole, has been working with young people from the community to create murals at 4th and Sunset and in the 100 blocks of Monroe and Lincoln. Funding was provided by Inland Northwest Community Foundatio, Rotary 21, Inland Northwest Labor Council, Councilman Jon Snyder, and from numerous small contributions. In-Kind support was provided by the Fire Department, Stormwater Maintenance and by the Downtown Spokane Cean Team.
