Mission: To support southwestern university. The purposes for which southwestern foundation is organized and operated are exclusively for charitable, scientific, literary, and educational purposes, and in accomplishment of such purposes, the foundation is administered solely for the benefit and support of southwestern university. In doing so, the foundation also maintains real or personal property, or both, and uses and applies the income therefrom and the principal thereof exclusively for charitable and educational purposes for the benefit of southwestern university.
Programs: The foundation, as described in the mission statement in part iii above, in part, manages real property for the benefit of southwestern university. As of december 31, 2014, the foundation was legal owner of a 76. 85 percent undivided interest in land near leander, texas. Legal fees were paid in the amount of $20,769 because there was a potential buyer for the land.
the foundation's property taxes, payable in accordance with assessed values calculated by the williamson county appraisal district, are paid to the williamson county tax assessor by southwestern university on behalf of the foundation, and thus, the amount of $196 is reflected here as revenue and expense.
