Soldiers' Angels is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing aid and comfort to the men and women of the United States Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and their families. Founded by the mother of two American soldiers, we have hundreds of thousands of volunteers assisting veterans, wounded and deployed personnel and their families in a variety of unique and effective ways. Soldiers’ Angels responds quickly to requests for support and provides individualized, immediate assistance. It is a “one-on-one, get it done quickly” organization. Our volunteer Angels at home adopt individual deployed troops and stay in touch throughout their deployment. Wounded soldiers and their families are asked what they need, and Soldiers’ Angels responds in a hundred different ways: voice-activated computers; financial assistance for loved ones to stay with their wounded family member; phone cards to call relatives who can’t visit as often as they wish, etc. Both the organization and the program have grown, but, unfortunately, the needs of our deployed soldiers and their families are growing even faster. This is especially true for our young men and women who are wounded. The government is providing first-class medical care for our wounded soldiers, but it will never be able to provide all of what they deserve and so many services desperately needed by their families. Soldiers’ Angels works closely with the Department of Defense, the nation’s major veterans groups and a variety of other military support organizations to make sure these brave young men and women who are being helped.

Reviews for Soldiers' Angels
Soldiers' Angels is a wonderful group that is totally non-profit and cares so much about our Veterans; deployed and all military families. I am part of the Letter Writing Team and I write letters to our deployed men and women of the armed forces. I appreciate all that our military does for us to keep us safe & free and this one way I can give back to them! It's totally a volunteer position and I love it! This organization really cares and I will keep supporting it!

Soldiers' Angels is such a great organization. I am able to support my country and our great soldiers while at the same time work with great people, be creative, and practice writing and communication skills. The organization supports our troops and we all support each other. You can just step right in and get going making a difference right away like I did.
I am so glad to be a part of this organization! I love writing and feel I can truly make a difference with my letters. It's so beneficial knowing that I'm bringing a smile to those who are fighting for our country!
I joined the Letter writing team through Soldiers' Angels back in April and fell in love with the whole idea of writing. Being an English major, I've always had a passion for writing but I've become more accustomed to writing to strangers. Every time I receive mail, I have a smile on my face, especially when soldiers tell me how much they laughed at my letter writing.
I now am a Group Leader of the Letter Writing Team and couldn't be more proud! I hope to encourage new people to write and to make letter writing a hobby again :)
Soldiers' Angels is an amazing organization, but a lot of organizations can say that. The one thing that has set them apart in my mind is their span of volunteer opportunities. They have options for every age from 5 years to 100, and there is a way for every group size to be involved to help veterans. This combined with options to volunteer for every skill level and pretty much anywhere in the country, allows for a unique volunteer experience. My opinion is that this should be the first place to go if you are looking to volunteer to help veterans. The answer is always yes, they need you.
I volunteer with this organization, and it is wonderful! I am so glad I found them. They do tremendous work for veterans I am always amazed. Please consider joining them.
I am a volunteer with Soldiers Angels and am on multiple teams. I retired from a career after 29 years and was looking for a way to work with veterans. I am so lucky to be able to volunteer at the VA hospital here in Denver Colorado. I am so lucky to have contact with veterans and it is so rewarding. I look forward to each time I am at the hospital or at an event.

Serving with the Soldiers' Angels Team has been a true honor. We are all like a huge family. The passion and diligence of everyone involved is unlike any other not-for-profit organization that I have been involved with. If you want to support an organization that does it GREAT, support Soldiers' Angels. It is an awesome feeling knowing that your serving with an organization that is doing it right.
My story is a little bit different, in that I have been a volunteer for Soldiers' Angels since 2006. We have shipped over 60,000 Christmas stockings to Iraq and Afghanistan. Now we are supporting the VA's in Georgia as well as working with Google to provide laptops to our brave soldiers that have been wounded. This picture was taken May 22 at Trinka Davis Veterans Village in Carrollton, GA. The award is a proclamation from our governor. I started working with Soldiers Angel's a year ago. I couldn't have chosen a better group of loving caring people to work with. This organization is the most conscientious nonprofit I have worked with, making sure admin cost are low as possible and donations go to helping soldiers and their families. Hearing how much our Soldiers appreciate being able to depend on us just made my heart leap with pure joy.
Knowing my donations go to helping our military and their families is priceless. Many charities you give and give to and nothing seems to ever change. Not so with Soldiers Angels, I know I make a difference in a soldier's life.

I have been with Soldier's Angels since 2006 and my favorite part about this organization is the direct contact we get with each service person we support. I have served on the "Deployed" Team since 2006 and earlier this year joined the "Letter Writing Team" in an effort to extend my gratitude to more Soldier's.
It's a great group and I am Thankful!
