Mission: Soldiers' Angels is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing aid and comfort to the men and women of the United States Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and their families. Founded by the mother of two American soldiers, we have hundreds of thousands of volunteers assisting veterans, wounded and deployed personnel and their families in a variety of unique and effective ways. Soldiers’ Angels responds quickly to requests for support and provides individualized, immediate assistance. It is a “one-on-one, get it done quickly” organization. Our volunteer Angels at home adopt individual deployed troops and stay in touch throughout their deployment. Wounded soldiers and their families are asked what they need, and Soldiers’ Angels responds in a hundred different ways: voice-activated computers; financial assistance for loved ones to stay with their wounded family member; phone cards to call relatives who can’t visit as often as they wish, etc. Both the organization and the program have grown, but, unfortunately, the needs of our deployed soldiers and their families are growing even faster. This is especially true for our young men and women who are wounded. The government is providing first-class medical care for our wounded soldiers, but it will never be able to provide all of what they deserve and so many services desperately needed by their families. Soldiers’ Angels works closely with the Department of Defense, the nation’s major veterans groups and a variety of other military support organizations to make sure these brave young men and women who are being helped.

Soldiers Angels is a fantastic organization for supporting our troops. I am a member of the Letter Writing and Adoption teams. This is a means of giving back to those men and women who gave so much to us everyday. It is easy to join and means so much to those we support.
This is a great way to support our troops. You can do something small (write an email or letter) or you can do more by sending care packages or baked goods, etc. Soldier's Angels is very organized which makes it easy to participate. My team leader responds to my emails within a few hours answering any questions I might have. I love what Soldier's Angels does and I love being able to contribute. This is a wonderful charity!
I wanted to something "small" to help support our troops. I did a LOT of research and SA was the organization that stood out to me. There are SO many ways to help through this organization. I chose to do letter writing. It's been very rewarding knowing that I might be brightening someones day. The best is when you receive letters back from soldiers. I would recommend this group to anyone looking to start volunteering. Once you get into it there are so many additional paths you can choose to branch out.
Soldiers' Angels is a wonderful organization, with a staff of dedicated, extremely energetic individuals. The organization has a long list of great programs that provide options to allow anyone wishing to support our veterans, active duty military personnel and/or their families to get involved. There is something for everyone!
Serving those who are serving us in the armed forces is an amazing and rewarding opportunity to give the gift of support and encouragement. This is a great way to recognize and honor their selfless dedication and devotion to our country and all of us and let them know we have not forgotten them. Sometimes it paves the way for lasting and true friendships.
I've only been volunteering for a month, but am impressed by how organized Soldiers' Angels is on many levels...very easy to access requests for letters, birthday cards, words of enocouragement, etc. When I e-mail my group leader or team leader, I hear back in just a couple of hours. A pleasure to be a part of this fantastic organization!
