Mission: Soldiers’ Angels is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing aid and comfort to the men and women of the United States Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and their families. Founded by the mother of two American soldiers, we have hundreds of thousands of volunteers assisting veterans, wounded and deployed personnel and their families in a variety of unique and effective ways. Soldiers’ Angels responds quickly to requests for support and provides individualized, immediate assistance.  It is a “one-on-one, get it done quickly” organization.  Our volunteer Angels at home adopt individual deployed troops and stay in touch throughout their deployment. Wounded soldiers and their families are asked what they need, and Soldiers’ Angels responds in a hundred different ways:  voice-activated computers; financial assistance for loved ones to stay with their wounded family member; phone cards to call relatives who can’t visit as often as they wish, etc.  Both the organization and the program have grown, but, unfortunately, the needs of our deployed soldiers and their families are growing even faster. This is especially true for our young men and women who are wounded. The government is providing first-class medical care for our wounded soldiers, but it will never be able to provide all of what they deserve and so many services desperately needed by their families.  Soldiers’ Angels works closely with the Department of Defense, the nation’s major veterans groups and a variety of other military support organizations to make sure these brave young men and women who are being helped.

It is a wonderful avenue for supporting our military. Our group leaders are so helpful and friendly. We post images of our care packages which allow others to build on our ideas. I have been with this group for 8 years now. Cannot imagine ever not being a Sdiers' Angel!

I have been a Soldiers Angels for over 8 years now. One of the most rewarding things I have done. There is a team for every type of volunteering you could possibly want to be involved with. Baking, baby showers, wounded warriors. I can't thank Soldiers Angels enough for the opportunity they provide to us all. They are so organized and helpful. I like the adopting of soldiers the most. It makes my day when my husband calls and says we have received a letter from our soldiers. You choose how much to spend. Because bottom line those guys out there are so thrilled for a few lines from home and a couple snacks. I know we make a difference and it wouldn't be possible without the hard work Soldiers Angels has done to make this organization what it is today. Come help! We need more angels!

I began volunteering with Soldiers Angels 3 years ago and love the feeling I get when providing care packages and letters of support for soldiers abroad. The soldiers are always so thankful to receive care packages and they appreciate correspondence from 'home'. In return, I am grateful for the opportunity to provide a small gesture of gratitude for the men and women who serve our beautiful country.

Soldiers' Angels is such an amazing organisation to volunteer with! It has been my privilege to play my small role in the essential work that they do. The staff are so wonderfully helpful and efficient, and have worked hard to build a strong and accountable organisation. I have loved being part of such a worthwhile movement to care for those who serve and protect, and I will be volunteering with them for a long time to come.

I've enjoyed the time and effort I've put into Soldiers' Angels. I feel like I'm making a difference, even if it's just brightening someone's day a little. The people I support may or may not respond back to me, but I'd still like to think it matters to them. There's also a lot of support from the organization if I have questions. You do need to spend your own money, but there are a lot of ways to contribute to fit different people's budgets, and volunteers share ideas to keep costs lower.

My husband was a career soldier so I have lived far from home on many assignments and remember how proud I was to be an American. Working with the Angels brings me great satisfaction as it is so personal. I write letters, send cards and have taken on two WOV. It is all pure joy.

I am a Soldiers Angel. I spend my time and send my love with every note and letter I write. I am grateful for this opportunity to serve my country by supporting our soldiers who are serving theirs.

Love this Group of Volunteers! The teams of Soldiers' Angels go above and beyond. They are SO AWESOME to be a part of. SA has allowed me and my family to connect and show our love and support to military members and their families that we wouldn't have been able to connect with otherwise. As an "angel" I am so beyond blessed to be a part of Soldiers' Angels.

I woke up in Iraq after surgery to find a backpack full of all the essentials. I had nothing to my name as it was either all destroyed by the IED blast or cut off me. I was again united with Soldier's Angels while in Walter Reed AMC recuperating. They helped me a great deal on more than one occasion. I believe they are the best small NGO trying to help wounded warriors.

I have been blessed to be part of this organization since 2008. Being a high school teacher I was able to involve my school and community in projects that involved us sending over 50 boxes to Soldiers who were deployed. Even at my current job members of my team donate to help me fill care packages! I am surrounded at my desk by pictures and letters that soldiers have written back to me which motivates me to keep going knowing that what I do matters. I believe that because I chose not to serve it is my duty (and honor) to serve those who do! If you think of the amazing sacrifice these brave men and women make for us you won't hesitate to join and/or donate.
