They have been through 3 directors in one year. Three board members just left. The organization has posted financials since 2012. They only have two months of live release rate reports posted and in the month of November they transferred in 77 animals from out of state but euthanized a high number of local animals in September when the new ED arrived. They bring up puppies from the south and charging $350-$500 per animal. They are becoming more like a pet store while the local pet store is trying to be more like a rescue. Ironic. I want my community shelter to help local animals, be transparent with intake, euth and financials all thing I feel they do not do and that is why I stopped donating to this organization.

I must start this review out first by saying I have never been to this shelter personally. From research I have done this organization has done some exceptional work. They have wonderful sponsors throughout the community. But currently there is a situation happening there that has me concerned. Its the administrative side of this organization that seems to be lacking in professionalism. This situation has been blown way out of proportion by deceit, questionable conduct on the internet, and possible illegal actions. It has not only hurt a pet owner, disrupted the lives of the family and pet, a new owner has been involved. It is a great worry when an organization who's mission is to protect, reunite and find loving homes for animals participates in such practices that, at least in this case, is not in the best interest of anyone.
