Real genuine ppl showing compassion and tough love! They want you to make it and will help anyone who really wants to change their lives. The Director and Staff are unpaid yet they come in every day to put in so much into each and every woman. I was fortunate to have Ms Johnnie lecturing and teaching most groups. I listened well and shut out every distraction so I could allow God to work in me. I've been clean 19 months (April 2015) and haven't looked back. Each experience counts and every encounter with random strangers and people I love are so important because the light of God shines brightly in me. Thank you for bringing me back to the light.

When I arrived at this program I thought it would be the normal drug/alcohol program. I was in for a huge surprise. Ms. Johnnie and her staff are all volunteering to help us change our lives. Ms. Johnnie in particular, even though she is the one who started the program, makes sure that she gets to know you and that you have her ear when you really need to. She sees things in people that they don't even see in themselves. She give unconditionally love to us and to people on the street. She provides a beautiful home for us and she gives her all to keep things going. The program staff also volunteer their time and we have counselors, therapists, social workers, and group leaders that work with us on a daily basis. This program is a light to this community which has a lot of darkness. We are right in the middle of drug sales, prostitution and violence. However, the people on the street respect her and do not hang around the doors. Most of the women that graduate from the program are still clean and sober. They are now homeowners, graduates from college and graduate school .

Have nothing but positive things to say about this organization. Have been to many events in support and have seen the effect they have on their clients. It takes a lot for a group of people to dedicate their lives to helping those who need support - means even more that they make no $!

I came to this organization after being in John George Pavillion in Alameda County 27 times last year for cutting and addiction to alcohol and drugs. I had been raped and physically abused for many years. I am a professional woman who managed to hide all my woes for many years. I have not cut myself in over a year and I am now in my own home. The love and concern they give is pheonominal. Beautiful surroundings and great staff.
