Reviews for Singleton Moms
I have the special opportunity to volunteer with this outstanding organization. Singleton Moms reaches those parents and their families who face difficult times when they need it the most. And, with its wonderful staff and volunteers, Singleton Moms provides a valued and important resource throughout Maricopa County.
Singleton Moms is an amazing organization. I love how they serve not just the moms and dads but their kids too. Keep up the good work!
I found out about Singleton Moms from a family friend who helped as a volunteer. I went to an orientation and was immediately impressed with the whole organization. I helped out a Bare Necessities Drive and was able to meet the parents and the staff. Singleton Moms is an organization who truly puts families first. Their commitment to helping single parents is incredible and I am proud to be a part of such a great group.
I found Singleton Moms 2 years ago. I was looking for an organization that I would feel compelled to come back to over and over. I found it in Singleton Moms. As a volunteer, I didn't feel as if I was doing much, just dropping off 2 bags a month to a family in need. But as the months progressed, I learned how important the Bare Necessities were to the family. It became the highlight of my month. Taking a few hours out of my life was easy when I saw the relief on their faces whenever I showed up. They became my family. Singleton Moms has become a second home because of the love that you can feel as soon as you walk through the doors.
What a great organization! The moment I heard about Singleton Moms, I knew I had to get involved. What they do for our community is absolutely amazing. The compassion everyone here has is truly inspiring.
Singleton Moms goes above and beyond to help their parents. The volunteers and staff are some of the nicest people I have met. I would still be volunteering with them if I wasn't moving. Thank you for all you do Singleton Moms!

I first learned about Singleton Moms from a coworker. I was new to the area and wanted to find a place to volunteer with. I was so blown away by everyone I met. The staff and volunteers go out of their way to help the parents. I have been so fortunate to find an organize that goes above and beyond to serve families and their children. Thank you Singleton Moms for all that you do!!

I first heard of Singleton Moms about four years ago as I was looking to find a place to volunteer my time. As a single parent and knowing a single mother that went through cancer treatment with no additional assistance, I immediately resonated with Singleton Moms mission of helping single parents going through treatment. I eventually landed on the Board and have been a board member for three years now. Jody and the staff are tireless workers and never satisfied...always looking to help more parents/families or do more for the families currently in care. The dedication and commitment are unparalleled and I can say that I'm proud to be a part of such a great organization.
My daughter's high school Pom and Cheer team donated pumpkins for a Singleton Moms' kids' event and then helped the children carve and decorate them for Halloween. It was such a great experience for these teen girls to see the fruits of their labor and learn the joy of helping others.
I first learned of Singleton Moms through an article in The Republic in 2010. When I read the heartbreaking stories of single parents, struggling with cancer, I thought: "But for the grace of God go I". This could happen to anyone! Yes, I was married, and healthy, but.....so were these parents, at one time. I knew I wanted to help. I started giving monthly to the "Gimme 5 Program", then I decided to do more, and helped clean a Singleton Moms home one day. I was hooked, and devastated at the same time. I will never forget the crayon drawings on the fridge from her children, decrying what cancer was doing to their mom and their lives. I joined the board of Singleton Moms because there are so many people in our state who are struggling to deal with the realities of dealing with cancer while parenting young children, with very little help along the way. We take these parents under our wing as best we can; we give them funds towards their bills, healthy meals for dinner, special attention to the kids, transportation to doctor appointments, access to professional services, the list goes on and on. Yet we always feel we could do more. We never have enough resources to help them all.........I hope someday, we can help all the moms and dads who come to us for help and support.
