I've volunteered with this organization for the last two years and I continue to be impressed with its organization and efficiency. They have a very lean staff and an extremely committed volunteer base that are well trained to deliver aid in disaster zones of every kind.

I have been a big fan of ShelterBox for several years now. As a Rotarian, I have an implicit trust for this organization. As a District Chairman for Rotary Youth Exchange, my students have met the challenge of raising funds for and awareness of ShelterBox, especially among thier high school age peers. This became significantly more meaningful when one of our students was evacuated from flooding in Thailand in the fall of 2011. While she was out of harm's way, she saw the boxes deployed all over the flooded areas. ANother student came to the US in the fall of 2012 from Japan. In her first greeting to our club, she acknowleged the help that Japan received from the US and from the ShelterBox program. This is the kind of first-hand awareness that grows our young people into the next generation of philanthropists.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the personal growth I've seen in our Rotary Youth Exchange Students
