The SciEnTeK-12 Foundation provides direction and support for Southern Arizona Kindergarten through 12th Grade students and schools in the areas of science, engineering, mathematics and technology.
The results of our efforts may be measured at the Southern Arizona Regional Science and Engineering Fair (SARSEF) held each March. We also support the Math, Science, and Technology “FunFest” and the Physics Factory.
The members of the SciEnTek-12 Foundation Board, are 100% volunteers, who provide presentations, support, and mentors for students, teachers and parents throughout the Southern Arizona region.
Currently, about 20% of the schools are involved. Approximately 63,000 students are involved at their local school. From, there, approximately 6,000 students annually participate directly in the Regional Science Fair. We hope to reach even more!
Unfortunately, we are seeing many of the same students form the same schools each year.
We want to expand our efforts to reach students and teachers who have not previously participated in Science research projects so they may equally receive the benefits as well.
