Issues: Children & Youth

Location: 2118 Redcoat Ln Missouri City TX 77489 USA

Mission: The mission of the Sapphire Butterflies is to inspire excellence and empower all youth and teens to feel comfortable and confident not only in themselves but to have influential and positive impacts throughout their lives. The Sapphire Butterflies Organization (SBO) was established June 10, 2005 as a non-profit organization to educate and expose our inner city youth to educational, spiritual, recreational, and cultural workshops to help develop and build a positive and caring character in our youth of today. The idea to have a program that will not only inspire our youth to make a positive choice based on facts of what is going on in the society in which will live, but to have a program that will bring the Arts back to our youth, so, the Black Swan & Pearls Cotillion After School Finishing program was created in 1/10/2012.
Results: The Black Swan & Pearls Cotillion is sponsored by The Sapphire Butterflies Organization. This Cotillion will offer good social skills & give each young girl /teen the ability to present oneself properly when necessary in our society today. This Cotillion will also help to empower young girls to feel comfortable and confident in not only for themselves and others; but to teach you how to communicate effectively in business and personal situations. The Black Swan Cotillion & Pearls will not only teach these girls how to set leadership example in school and/or any social situation but, will also teach your daughter how to develop better social skills. Cotillions are designed to teach young people how to conduct themselves in social situations. The Black Swan & Cotillion & Beautillion will have activities that will teach your Deb & Beau how to conduct themselves in any social situation. These classes and activities will teach manners and other character building skills. Manners and etiquette will be taught for the formal coming out party. So these classes will be important to have appropriate social skills.

This organization is a MUST for any youth and/or teen. The Executive Director, Regina Joseph, have soooo much compassion for these youth and teens, that its AMAZING!!! I don't understand how other companies, families, or even schools don't support a program like this for our youth.

This organization mentors each child and teach them how to overcome bullying; this organization allows each child to explore their talents in the Arts; this program teaches each child how be creative in either drama, fashion, dance, etc...

I choose not to be known, but we are going to make a monetary donation to the organization. I urge and encourage anyone, that reading this to please sign your son or daughter in this program, you won't regret it.

All corporations and companies that's in the Sugar Land/Missouri City area, please support this organization...This organization is GREAT for our children and our community.

Thank you,
Unknown Supporter!!

This was my daughter's first year joining the organization and I can honestly say that she has enjoyed herself. Not only has she gotten the chance to make new friends but she is also learning new things that will benefit her as she grows into young adult hood. I am an only parent of two daughters and at the present moment I am unemployed. The founder Mrs. Regina Joseph took us under her wing and she has helped us out so much, and I am truly grateful for her!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would not make any changes! They are doing an OUTSTANDING job!

My daughter is part of the Sapphire Butterflies "Black Swan & Pearls Cotillion Finishing Classes and this program is AWESOME. Mrs. Joseph and her staff are very knowledgable in Etiquette and Character Building. My daughter was failing in class and since she has been a part of this program, her grades and her self-esteem has improved.

This program andSapphire Butterflies comes highly recommended!

My daughter and I attended a Mother and Daughter retreat in 2010 and it was AWESOME!!! The Sapphire Butterflies Organization transferred two people that was at each others throat to a mother and daughter that loves the LORD and we are now like sisters as well as best friends. This retreat was fun, exciting, and educational. Each mother and daughter was in a room with each other. That gave us enough time to talk, cry, and then realize that all this time, we never listen to each other. The last day of the retreat all the mother and their daughters to had to either put together a skit, dance routine, etc. My daughter and I had put together a skit and it was AWESOME!!!! There will be another retreat in 2012 and I encourage EVERY mother and daughter attend. This organization is GREAT for our community and for our youth!!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Attending the Mother and Daughter retreat in 2010. Mrs. Joseph was personable, loving, and she cared about all of us that was part of this retreat. She really cares about what she does and this organization is GREAT for our youth!!!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Help this organization get more volunteers and help with funding. This organization need more donations because what the Sapphire Butterflies did at this retreat, companies, and others need to know!!!
