Mission: To foster the growth and appreciation of the arts and humanities in lemhi county, idaho.

Programs: This years annual events included: 1. Matt anderson in concert 2. Wild & scenic film festival 3. On ensemble 4. Claire lynch in concert 5. Summer baroque salon concert 6. Sara grey in concert 7. Montana shakespeare in the park 8. Blues, brews, and bbq 9. Salmon river days concert 10. A community christmas with jason farnham 11. Salmon river days concert 12. Art:21 film screenings all shows were well attended and enjoyed by the community. This years community arts programs included: 1. "telling our stories" with carol muzik 2. Kids art in the park 3. Meditation retreat with mary webster 4. Leather-tooling workshop with cary schwarz 5. Wool-felting workshop with diane klich 6. Holiday wreath-making workshop with karen gallogly this years arts acadamy included: 1. On ensemble 2. "telling our stories" with carol muzik 3. "fire speaks the land" by comotion dance co 4. Missoula children's theatre presents "blackbeard the pirate"

the salmon arts council created the salmon arts academy in 2008 to promote "hands on" learning experiences in the arts. We offer opportunities for both youth and adults to learn new techniques and skills in all aspects of the arts including fine arts, performing and literary. The arts academy provides a unique platform for the salmon arts council to provide financial support to local and regional artists by hiring them to teach classes.
