Mission: Providing resources to prevent violence rooted in sexual abuse by publishing research and treatment resources and maintaining an informational website.
Programs: Safer society press provided print and video materials to more than 1,765 individuals and programs to help with the prevention and treatment of sexual abuse in 2013. Over 25,000 workbooks, professional titles, books for family members and the general public, and guidebooks were shipped to all 50 states, the district of columbia, and seventeen foreign countries. The press published three new titles, two of which applied the latest evidence informed practices to work with adolescents and to the case management of sex offenders. The third title provided support for trauma survivors and resources for those working with them.
a research survey of sexual offender treatment providers is conducted approximately every six years to determine current treatment practices and trends in treatment delivery. The most recent survey was conducted in 2009.
