I've been a volunteer with River City Food Bank for about five years and I never tire of involvement. I love the emphasis on healthy food and the fact that they serve anyone in need from anywhere in the county. I appreciate the fact that the organization keeps overhead low so that donations go to supplement donated food with dairy, protein, etc. It's easy to see how the 3-day grocery supplies and snacks for kids make a difference. This organization feels very connected to the community.

This food bank has been on my side since my separation in the middle 90's,and the way they regrouped after a arsonist decided to burn this community favorite site, just shows there character.
