Reviews for Platinum Minds Inc

Rating: 5 stars

I am a single mother with a teenage son who has benefit from Platinum Minds in a multitude of ways starting with placement at a great educational high achieving high school that would have NEVER been achievable otherwise. Platinum Minds encourages educational growth reaching your highest potential giving back to community, teamwork and leadership. This is achieved by continually reinforcing there principles by holding workshops and seminars that include public speaking, leadership training, college workshops and SAT prep. My son has been a part of Platinum Minds from the start of the organization. He has elevated from member to Scholar to ambassador.
PM also sponsors the young mens attendance to varied summer camps depending upon their focus. My son attended for two summers a leadership camp in Connecticut which allowed him to grow, mature and lead. His high level of enthusiasm and commitment enabled him to interview and ultimately selected as a junior counselor for camp in 2010. He will be returning this summer once again as a counselor. All of this and so much more was and continues to be possible thru the Platinum Minds Organization. You build a village one at a time so that the villagers will return and continue to renew and rebuild their village

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

assisting with prep

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

As a parent who has a son that is been a Platinum Mind scholar, I see the impact it is making on his life. He has learned responsibility of becoming a leader as he speaks to him friends and they hear all the programs and activities he is in them to want to join. My son had benefit from being a part of an organization that strives not only to teach young men how to become leader, they also teach them to give back to the community, use your knowledge to achieve whatever goals you set. I talk about this organization to everyone, about how important it is for us to suppose their purpose.

In my son I see the different it had made in his life for attending the leadership program to having a mentor assigned to him.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I had the opportunity to take part in their annual fundraiser on April 14, 2011 at the Olde Mill Inn. Along with a great meal, silent auction of interesting and unusual items, and a great band, one highlight of the evening was hearing the stories of the young men who benefited from the organization. Platinum Minds helps academically gifted or motivated young men age 11-17, from challenging neighborhoods (gang pressure, drug use, etc.), by providing them with secondary school tuition to attend safer schools, summer camp programs to help them with personal growth and team player skills, and reading programs where these men can assist other young men, thereby improving their leadership skills and giving back to the community. I was amazed at how eloquent and moving their individual testimonies were. One of the young men recently went on to start at Drexel University, and another spoke highly of his educational experience at Delbarton. I knew the organization had helped young men across four years now, but I have to say I was quite shocked at how life-changing their programming has been, as expressed by each of the students present - and there were several. I would highly endorse this organization, and encourage others to support it and help them attain their admirable goals.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

... hearing the stories directly from the young men who have personally benefited from the Platinum Minds programs, across several years.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

... encourage others to make financial and volunteer contributions to them, in order to help them expand and serve many more young men who may qualify for inclusion in their educational programming.
