Planned parenthood of the pacific southwest (pppsw) provides a variety of reproductive health services to its patients. During the period july 1 - june 30, 2014, pppsw saw more than 277,000 patient visits in its 19 health centers. Over 85% of those visits were provided to patients with no insurance coverage other than government-sponsored programs. Services included over 249,000 lab tests; 586,000 cycles of monthly contraceptive medications; and tens of thousands of cancer screenings.
pppsw provides reproductive health care education sessions for the communities which it serves. The sessions are performed in a variety of community settings for individuals as well as groups. Additionally, pppsw advocates for increased access to improved reproductive health care in a variety of manners.
