The primary mission of PACA/AAR is the rescue, rehabilitation and placement of healthy and treatable homeless dogs and cats, utilizing a foster care-based network. PACA/AAR advocates care for life, responsible pet guardianship and the no-kill philosophy.
Programs: Animal Shelter Assistance Program (ASAP)-Created to save those animals housed at municipal shelters that are facing euthanasia. Temporary Foster Care Program-A program to assist those individuals who have rescued an animal are are seeking assistance for medical care and placement assistance.Private Rescue Program-Created to assist those individuals who have rescued a dog or cat and need assistance in placing the animal. The rescuer is responsible for all the animal's housing and medical needs. PACA will reimburse the rescuer for costs incurred up to $75.Spay Agreement Program (Save-a-Litter)-PACA will assist individuals with unwanted litters of puppies or kittens, provided the owners will spay the female animal at a participating vet and agree to house the letter until placed. Personal Pet Assistance Program-This program is offered to those responsible pet owners who wish to provide the no-kill guarantee for their pets in the event of the owner's death. PACA/AAR will take responsibility for the animal(s), provide housing, medical and placement service. Cost-$5000 per animal.

I volunteer with the cats and also the dogs. PACA does a great job of caring for and placing the animals, and it's fun volunteering!
