Oregon children's theatre mission is to advance growth, development and creativity through exceptional theater experiences. We do this by presenting professional live theater for youth at a price affordable to schools and families. By introducing young people to the wonders of live theater, oct enriches lives today while helping children develop a lifetime appreciation for the arts.
Children's theatre performances were presented live to 95068 children and families at a price affordable to all families, including 61,627 school children at a reduced rate or at no charge, thereby exposing them to this art form and expanding their cultural experience.
oct created and delivered free educational theater programs on tour to 242 schools and community organizations throughout the region, reaching 31873 children. These school performances covered a range of educational topics, and were provided in response to requests from educators.
oct provided theater training to 3203 young people through its acting academy and young professional programs taught on-site in its studio classrooms. It also delivered fee-based workshops and residencies in schools through its loud & clear program.
