Operation Once in a Lifetime help us out right when we needed it. We have 4 children and for quite some time now we had been struggling in what seemed like an impossible uphill battle. This past Christmas we felt we were in a financial rut and there just didn't seem anyway out. That right when we learn who OOIAL is. They provided the kids with a fun evening and as a bonus we left with an awesome gift that would enable us to buy Christmas for the girls and not worry about which bills were not going to get paid. Unknown to them just that act of kindness gave us renewed hope and lead to us making some tough choices, better financial decisions, and we have come full circle. Our family is 100% on top of the world and can now turn around and through OOIAL we hope to help other families and soldiers out.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

They give help the way the soldiers and the family needs. They are not a one size fits all organization.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

They just showed up out of the blue. I had never heard of them until I was being helped by them.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Awesome!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Save the world! Oh wow they could really make a difference for the soldiers and their families. One that is lasting and makes you want to help by paying it forward. 10 Million would then easily double or triple.

This organization really came through for me more than once. I would not have been able to be around when my daughter was diagnosed with a genetic disorder called Fanconi Anemia. Patrick and his whole group have gone far above and beyond to help me and my family in great times of need. I have also been more than happy to donate back what money I could and my time in order to get out the word for this wonderful and selfless group of volunteers. What a wonderful world this would be if there were more people like everyone that is involved with Operation Once In A Lifetime.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

receiving airline tickets in order to visit my daughter when she was diagnosed with Fanconi Anemia. OOIAL was able to fly me back and forth from Camp Shelby MS to DFW.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

that they help any troop. Not just the injured but anyone that is in need of assistance. If they can provide the help that is needed they will. It is not based on rank or branch. Just good hearted people helping troops in need.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

very thoughtful and sincere and happy to help

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

fund all of there missions. I particularly like the mission of building a daycare around all the military posts and then putting spouses to work there and not charging them for their kids to be there.

What a find! I LOVE that Patrick has set up the local resale shop for our soldiers. I was able to volunteer there to help them get organized, and now have made it a regular on my route to go in and check out the goodies. I'm grateful of their service to our soldiers and their families. I always smile when I go there and look forward to running into a serviceman or woman so I can say thanks. I'm very grateful to Operation Once in a Lifetime for all they do for our soldiers every day. Love the shop! Love the organization!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

wonderful!

I had the opportunity to experience the generous love behind Operation Once in a Lifetime when a very good friend of mine asked if I would like to help with organizing their store for soliders and their families. I have never seen people work so hard for such a great cause. The greatest thing I realized is all the blood, sweat and tears that fall to make sure these amazing people that fight for our country are always helped if they are in need. I know of a few other people that have had events to support the charity and have seen first hand the feeling these hero's get when Operation Once in a Lifetime shares its amazing heart. This nonprofit organization is one of the best and I always encourage everyone I know to voluteer their time there when they can, just to experience their amazing work first hand.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Ways to make it better...

I personally would have more time to help and more people would donate their time as well. It is just amazing!

This is a wonderful group that really cares for the soldiers. Our family knows from personal experience what a tremendous blessing that they are to the military!!!!! They helped grant our wish for a handicap accessible van for our daughter that was born with Spina Bifida and has multiple complex medical issues. We would have never been been able to afford this and it helps my husband when he deploys again, not to have to worry about us. I highly recommend Operation Once In A Lifetime!!!!!!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

To give them more money to help more families!!!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

It is an amazing life changing experience!!!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

They really cared about the people that they were helping and take your story to heart.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Change the lifes of sooooo very many soldiers who really need to know that people care about the scarifices that they and their families make to keep us safe!!!

It was great!!!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

They don't have enough money to help everyone.

Operation once in a lifetime is indeed an amazing organization that helps men and women in the armed forces and their precious children and families. First I heard, then I saw, then I believed, finally I got involved. I heard & saw the needs, then I got involved and after reading the results I believed. OOIAL impacted so many precious human beings who are or have been fighting for our very freedom.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the stories after having fulfilled needs by mending bodies and mending lives.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Wish to get the Dallas Cowboys involved & many other celebrities. Get on National news networks.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Knowing I have helped fulfill needs even if in a small way

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Business associates, other people who saw the same need, & soldiers themselves

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Grow into other areas of need where they can counsel and repair lives, help to mend bodies, rehabilitate human beings on an even larger scale.

Ways to make it better...

I was able to give more time. If I could encourage more people to volunteer

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Funds, manpower, and exposure.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Operation Once in a Lifetime took me and other injured warriors to a Steelers football game and it was an amazing exprience. They have brought furniture for some of our soldiers as well assisted soldiers with medical for their children. I have been able to help with toy drives and they really do care about us.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

They have taken me to multiple sporting events with other wounded veterans. I have also witnessed this organization purchasing a handicapped vehicle for a wounded soldeir.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Give tham more money so they could expand their efforts.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

They truly care about soldiers and their families.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

The Prsident and administrative assistant.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Continue to provide bedding to soldiers returning from Iraq.

Ways to make it better...

It was already a Once in a lifetime event.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

One thing I'd also say is that...

I am blessed to have known these wonderful people.

This is an organization that helps soldiers of any branch, rank and need. They help from the heart and the volunteers all have regular full time jobs. I've been working for them for over a year and have seen great things done to help the US military.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

People who treated those in need with love, tenderness and respect like they would get from their own families.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Provide free daycare for military families, help soldiers fly home for their leave time, help soldiers pay their rent when times are touch, etc. etc.

Operation Once in a Lifetime is make a wish foundation for soldiers, all soldiers and vetrans. They do things really matter, not just for the soldier but their families.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

many diffrent ways, many of which have made the news locally and nationally.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

they are who they say they are and help evry soldier they can.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Sgt. Patrick Sowers the founder.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Help more soldiers and actually hire a full time staff of veterans that could help other soldiers, Air Men, Saliors and Marines and their families around the world.

Ways to make it better...

more people would donate to help vetrans and donate to Operation Once in a Lifetime.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the general lack of support that non-profits helping soldiers recieve.

One thing I'd also say is that...

This is a wonderful charity serving soldiers who need our help. I have been to a couple fundraisers for this organization, and met some of the people they have helped. Best of all, they have almost no administrative overhead, so pretty much every penny donated goes to help soldiers as far as I could tell. I also liked the fact that the soldiers are able to get help with such a wide variety of issues, from unpaid utilities and medical bills, to plane tickets to attend a funeral, to small things like toiletries and bed linens. I think the fact that this is a small group that operates from the heart of it's founder allows them to be very responsive to soldier's needs.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

helping soldiers when they need it most.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

spreading the word for this group is very rewarding because everyone seems to have a place in their heart for our soldiers.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

always helpful and motivated.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

make a huge difference in thousands of soldiers lives.
